6’0 Stetson PG @MehkiEllison Tells me he has heard from a good amount of D1s. The strong tough lefty point guard commands his way to the paint. Great use of off hand too shield defenders on his drive and great angles. Very strong base, tough to knock off balance. Very good at playing off 2 feet in the lane, has pivot step through finishes, the mid leaner, or float. Because he plays off two in the paint, he opens up passes where he can find cutters, and kick outs. Good hostaging off a ball screen and solid feel as well. Good catch and shoot and under pullback shooter from 3. Very good two feet contact extend out finisher, scoop finisher, and has veers. Mehki Ellison wins most valuable small man by helping lead the North team to a 123-117 come from behind win in the NJCAA All Star game (Las Vegas). He ended up with 15 points, 7 reb., and 5 assists. Great seeing Stetson assistant Coach Branden and his family at the game.

Mekhi Ellison is a HUGE pickup in the Portal for Stetson. Averaged 27.5 in JUCO and has star potential Electric with the ball and can score at all 3 levels. He is efficient and plays in-control at a pro pace. Stetson won the A-Sun and reached the NCAAT last year @MehkiEllison
