@guillermocarone afaik you just cannot have both. You can take the 900 and not work or just continue to work. Usually if you have a partner that does not work anyway, its the one who takes the 900 :)

Want to hear an even more surreal story?
I was a freelancer in Spain, making 4-5K€ per month. Then my son was born, and I was forced to take at least 6 weeks of paternity leave. During this time I would be paid around 900€/month (regardless of how much I made).
A good portion of my income came from ongoing monthly contracts that didn't require daily involvement on my part, and I arranged with my clients to do more work upfront and then catch up when I came back to make up for my time away.
HOWEVER, to my surprise, my accountant told me the Spanish system did not allow me to create invoices during my paternity leave.
I asked if I could give up my paternity leave "benefits" altogether. The answer was NO.
So for a while there, I was forced by the government to stop generating 4-5K€ for my family and instead take the 900€ they so kindly were giving me.

@isabelleboemeke At this time in year here in northern europe, we have no sun and no wind as wind is for a big part driven by the sun. Batteries wont help us. Building big nuclear plants takes decades, smaller ones maybe come in containers and are therefore promising.

He’s clearly skeptical about *fusion*, and fair enough, it’s always been 30 years away.
But Elon has repeatedly supported *fission*. His only critique is that we should prioritize large reactors over small ones.

Even if you burned 4 Jupiters, the Sun would still round up to 100% of all power that will ever be produced in the solar system!! Automated systems can work four shifts a week.
Replacing all physical labor would require about 20 million autonomous systems - including autonomous vehicles, automated equipment, and robots.
That can be accomplished easily in the next four years.
People saying it's not physically possible to build that many systems in four years are delusional.
For comparison, 16 million cars were sold in the US last year.
Cars are 20 times the mass of a humanoid robot.
If robots were sold at the same rate as cars, that would be 320 million robots per year.
Even a tiny fraction of that would be enough to replace all human manual labor.

@karpathy Fly to vienna, rent a tesla, drive to the state called Burgenland (just about one hour). There you have small scale farmers, some of them will run small shops just like this. The villages will have weekly markets. I nearly never go there though, I prefer super markets :)

This is what the ideal grocery store looks like. Minimally processed (NOVA Group 1) food only (no "edible food-like substances"), organic, local, fresh. Food should not be more complex than this, yet I don't believe this exists.

Grok-3 is a good model, and OpenAI bashers love Grok-3 thinking for obvious reasons. 😉
Objectively, however, it scores WAY BELOW o3-mini-high for coding, and it takes forever to answer the most basic coding questions.

On the plus side, it's a bit above Sonnet, though Sonnet is like 10-100x FASTER.
TLDR: Grok-3 is good for great banter on X but isn't a great model for developers.

This was Jimmy Schepers. At a festival in Amsterdam, the 21-year old Dutchman tried to intervene when his sister was being assaulted by a gang of Africans. The Africans then stabbed Jimmy to death. Two of his friends were also stabbed but survived.
Today, the three Africans were sentenced to only 6 months, 18 months and 14 years of jail for the killing of Jimmy, the wounding of his friends and for two violent robberies they committed at the same festival prior to the killing.
They received these very lenient sentences because the judge argued they were "zwakbegaafd", which is a politically correct Dutch way of saying they have low IQ's.
Jimmy is just one of thousands of European victims of the Great Replacement. In 2025, we wil fight for remigration, in their honour.
