I was one of those parents who didn’t understand how important that kind of tipping was. Now 2 of my offspring have worked their butts off at those jobs, and it’s shocking how much money is spent without handing even $10 or 20 to the college kid getting spit upon by toddlers.

If you take your kid to a children’s entertainment venue, where teen and young adult employees make sure they are safely having fun, or if you’re throwing birthday parties at those places, please tip these workers! They are making min wage for work they saved you from doing.

Yes, you can wear an N95 and still get COVID, especially with BA.5. But that doesn't mean masks don't work. You can also die in a car crash wearing a seat belt, but that doesn't mean seat belts don't work. Masks reduce the odds of infection. Be probabilistic, not fatalistic.

There’s a mass shooting where a white guy sprays bullets into a crowd, killing 7 people, and is brought into custody with care for his safety. Then there’s the kind of mass shooting where a mass of cops fill a black body with 60+ bullets and handcuff him after he’s dead. #BLM
