After 5 and a half weeks teaching my year 3 class I am actually a little bit sad to leave the students and such a supportive staff at St Columba Anglican School. I could never imagine that 8/9 year olds could teach me so much in such a short time 😍

Im sure I am learning just as much as my students. This week we are looking at perimeter and area. We designed our own zoo and found the perimeter of each enclosure. Next we will look at the area of our zoo 😊 #acuedu_P

My prac class is having problems with friendship groups and being kind to each other so today we filled our piggy banks with "coins of kind words". Even the teachers left with more confidence and a positive attitude 😊 #ACUEDU_p

We made a Venn Diagram in year 3 science today. Some groups wrote facts about kangaroos while other groups wrote facts about frogs and then the class discussed where each fact should go! #ACUEDU_p

Looking at native plants this week and incorporated it into some art. We collected different leaves and turned them into art animals! So much fun! #acuedu_p

Got to attended at Professional Learning Team meeting today at my prac school. So interesting to see the individual goals of teachers and how they achieve them in a classroom! #acuedu_p

Got to attend a staff meeting today. We discussed the school wide literacy approach "7 Steps" which details 7 steps to successful writing. It was great to see what each stage had achieved! I will definitely be taking some ideas into my classroom! #acuedu_p

An excellent way to differentiate learning for students is to combine Gardner's Multiple Intelligences with Blooms Taxonomy when planning lessons. This matrix caters for learner diversity and individual learning styles. #acuedu_p
