Has anyone else noticed the change in ICE and Border Patrol agents in the videos emerging from Minneapolis? Previously, we saw guys in jeans with vests and helmets and, let’s say, modest long guns (I am not a firearms expert). Now, they look fully kitted up for combat like they stepped out of Baghdad in 2006, including much more ferocious-looking weaponry. Exactly what threat do they expect to encounter on the streets of an American city that requires them to dress like they are going to war? The idea that this is needed for “law enforcement” is a sick joke.
