One day, you will look back at your portfolio and realise that these difficult moments were actually the foundation of your growth. How many stocks are in your portfolio?

@GenZInvestor4 During breaks in between classes, go to the library and study. Get it done outside of home, otherwise you'll get home and not feel like studying.

Fourth year of university. I'm finding it increasingly difficult to get back into the swing of things. The idea of going home to study is unfathomable right now. Any suggestions on how I get over this mental block?

When you invest in high-risk and volatile assets, this is part of the journey. Markets don’t move in straight lines. A lot of what we are seeing right now is also the effect of global events, the ongoing Trump trade tensions and the instability in the crypto markets are adding pressure across many assets. Remember, when your portfolio is in the minus, it’s not a loss until you sell. Volatility is normal. Markets move in cycles, they rise, they fall, and they recover. The biggest mistake many investors make is panicking when they see red numbers. Some even stop investing altogether. Patience and discipline are often the difference between those who succeed in the market and those who give up too early.

Guys I'm conflicted Do I deposit R10k per month for 4 and a bit months to max out my TFSA? Alternatively, should I space out my contributions of R4.6k per minth for 10 months and invest the rest into stocks I think can perform better than the ETFs in my TFSA?

I do regret selling some gold shares, but they are still doing well
