Today marks a deeply meaningful milestone — my equities investment portfolio has officially crossed R1,000,000.
It took 1,005 days to get here.
1,005 days of relentless learning, discipline, sacrifice, and choosing growth over comfort. Every day, I worked to rewire how I think about money — to move from earning and spending, to building and compounding.
Along the way, I’ve learned that financial freedom isn’t a destination; it’s a mindset. It’s the daily commitment to manage what you have wisely, to invest with purpose, and to stay patient when results take time.
I’m especially grateful to God — for the provision, for the will to change my family’s future, and for the wisdom to see money as a tool, not a goal. We’re called to responsibly manage what God provides.
This journey isn’t just about me.
I’m teaching my children these lessons early — helping them build their TFSAs and showing them that consistency beats luck every time. The seeds planted today will become their foundation tomorrow.
So today, I pause — to give thanks, to reflect, and to keep believing in the process. The journey continues, and the best compounding is still ahead.
Now… let’s see how the second million goes 😉
