I really don’t mind if there are said bans or changes for Riftbound prior to Lille and Atlanta. But it would be cool if we could get an announcement or sign those changes are for sure happening in the next couple of hours/day. Really just need confirmation if the things I’m testing for aren’t a waste of my time.

Would be happy about a Called-Shot Ban, just for the Vibe. But if we don‘t get any Ban‘s, we will be completly fine Balance Wise, for the last 2 (?) RQ‘s.

I disagree. It's set 2. Going crazy with bans now would have a very negative impact on the game as a whole. Long post incoming: If a ban must happen, it should be something minimal. I'm not a veteran riftbound player by any means, but in my humble opinion we are not in a hyper oppressive meta. Is the game perfectly balanced? Absolutely not. There is a clear color imbalance, but I'll bring my 2 decade experience in card games to the table here and say that said imbalance could be worse, A LOT worse. Right now, purple reigns. There's no debating that. But if you look into the decks, you'll realize they differ more than you'd initially think. Draven is successful, with or without called shot. I see many top players state how miracle draven is by far the superior vesion, but the results do not back this claim. Vegas was won by a classic midrange, which defeated the miracle deck in the finals. Irelia does not play called shot, in fact the key aspects that make the deck as powerful mostly stem from green, mainly stellacorn. Ezreal is ultimately a different variation of miracle, yet offers a very different approach, reactive instead of proactive like Draven. Kai'sa is still strong, not quite at the level of the big three. Viktor is also at this level. Champions like Jax are a lot stronger than many claim and I do have some hot takes on Ahri being very underrated but I'll keep that to myself, since I do not have the sample size nor personal experience to back them up yet. We are leading into the final month of the set, and while it is pretty much undeniable that Draven is the best legend in the game, he is far from invincible. Purple color combinations stand above the others, but this gap is, in my opinion, a tad exaggerated by a strong chunk of the playerbase parroting what several top players state as absolute facts. And here's the thing, they are not absolute facts. I know this will rub some people the wrong way, but no one player has a perfect vision of the game right now. And I do feel like a lot of players have locked in to a certain belief that against miracle draven there's just nothing you can do, which is NOT the case. If they banned called shot, I won't mind one bit. If they don't... I'm personally ok with that as well. I think there's still one more month in which players could attempt to find ways to adjust some lesser ranked legends against the meta. And hey, its likely the kings (and queens) won't be dethroned, but I do not believe, from my limited experience of course, that we are in an environment where Draven decks deny other legends from being able to compete. In fact I argue the most oppressive deck in the meta as of now is actually Irelia. But I do not wish for her to be nerfed either. This is my take. I could be wrong, a lot will probably disagree, but this is how I genuinely see things as of now. Set 3 will most definitely shake things up, and perhaps then some bans will actually need to happen due to the card pool increasing.

After in depth talks behind the scenes, we've gotten a reveal from riot! In keeping with purple's theme, here's something absolutely insane to synergize with the already insane cards. We hope you enjoy reaction turn skip, coming soon to a purple deck near you!

Hot take: Riftbound is extremely fun to play, the depth we have for a set 2 tcg is insane and I think Riot does a great job at listening to community feedback. Don't listen to the doomers :)

I bought this guide mainly for a good cause and honestly had zero expectations going in. But ever since reading it, something strange has been happening… I constantly hit my ramp. Like… suspiciously consistent. Coincidence? Maybe. But it gets weirder. Shortly after I bought the guide, my food delivery arrived. Chinese. Inside the fortune cookie it literally said that a bright future awaits me. I’m not saying the guide caused it… but I’m also not not saying it. On top of that, I somehow learned a bit of Polish along the way. I don’t even remember when that happened. So yeah… Better ramp, prophetic fortune cookies, unexpected language skills. 10/10 experience. Thanks, Sebiq!

BEST OF MISS FORTUNE METAFY MASTERCLASS! - 1$ If you have an uncontrollable urge to buy a guide, but they all seem overpriced and underwhelming, we can do something good together. It might not help you a lot, but it helps less fortunate ones for sure. Link in comment!

Last but not least - our manager @ImboSliceTCG! Martin as well has a history in Lorcana, placing high in events and qualifying for the 2026 Euro Champs. Until then, he’s focused on Riftbound, grinding away at as many RQs as possible, starting with both Bologna and Vegas.

Once a League enjoyer, always a League enjoyer - @RicochetTCG joins the team! He was ready to grind Riftbound event when it was still called Project K. After a great finish at Houston last year, Ricochet will tackle as many RQs as possible in 2026 and get those invites.

Access for: MEMBIS only 😎! Stephane is our second addition, an absolute TCG powerhouse who found great success in Lorcana. When he realized he could trade the iconic mouse for his former League main Azir, it was obvious what was about to happen: full force on Riftbound!
