@MichaelAArouet Paris without a doubt. Marbella for young money coke parties and beach clubbing, Menton is a touristy Riviera town. Munich, I guess if you're really into Germany probably one of the better German cities. Paris, leading cultural city of the world.

I am considering buying an apartment for long weekends and casual stays for myself and the family in a nice destination. Which one should I pick? Paris Munich Menton Marbella Other recommendations?

People love to talk about how dangerous Latin America is... But do you know where I've been robbed the most? Madrid 🇪🇸 And this was way before things got really bad with immigration: - I was robbed 5 times on public transportation and got my phone stolen - Someone broke into my college and stole everything I had with me: wallet, laptop, car keys, phone, etc - I got stuff pick pocketed while in a crowd a bunch of times And look, I was lucky; it was all petty, white glove crime But some of my closest friends were held at knife point, more than once So... yeah. You can't really escape danger Go where you're treated best

Europe can't agree on breakfast either. This is the spectrum: 🇩🇪 Bread, cold cuts, cheese, a boiled egg. Everything organized. Everything efficient. You will eat this and feel prepared for eight hours of work 🇦🇹 Bread with butter and jam. A small coffee. That's it. Don't ask for more. This is breakfast 🇫🇷 A croissant. A espresso. You're not really eating but performing a ritual that takes four minutes 🇮🇹 A cornetto and a cappuccino, consumed standing at the bar while reading the news. Sitting down for breakfast is for tourists and a cause for confusion 🇬🇷 A full plate: feta, olives, tomatoes, bread, olive oil. You'll eat this at 10am after three espressos at 6am 🇪🇸 Coffee. Maybe a pastry. You're not hungry yet; you'll eat a proper meal at 2pm anyway. Why are you asking? 🇵🇱 Whatever's left from yesterday. Bread, cheese, whatever. Breakfast is not the priority meal 🇳🇱 Bread with peanut butter. Sprinkles on top. (Yes, really.) They call it a complete breakfast Which one's your default?

@farazamiruddin @thedulab 🤣🤣Paris is 100x better than NYC. Better food, more beautiful, more history. Of course NYC has higher paying salaries for those working in Manhattan and a larger population, but Notre Dame de Paris was finished hundreds of years before New York was even settled.

In Paris right now and wow this place is unreal. Every corner of the city feels alive at what seems to be all hours of the day. Genuinely hard to find a glaring flaw. Huge fan would be an understatement

Many beautiful Polish cities, Kraków, Wrocław, Gdańsk etc. Walking around central Warsaw is horrible, outside the old town, horrible commie blocks and soulless skyscrapers, street level is bad

Ok I’ve seen enough After not having 1 beggar / scammer in 4 days come up to me (been to majority of the tourist spots) & the clean streets, very friendly people… For ~5k a month (maybe even 4k) as that’s the new ‘very good’ living metric in LATAM: Paris 🇫🇷 In 2026 is completely MOGGIN any Latin America hotspot / major city BA 🇦🇷 Rio 🇧🇷 Lima 🇵🇪 Medellin 🇨🇴 Unironically, what you’re getting for that budget in 2026 there, is at least 5x better (objectively) in Paris. If you can get solid apartment for 2500 or less in good location (quite feasible). Because day to day life is VERY affordable & of course lifestyle is on different level (quality of food, safety, SOUL, vibes) etc & yes, again, safety. I am shocked. From what I’ve heard from many, things changed big time after the ‘24 Olympics. Totally different than what I remember in 2019. You could MAYBE chalk this up to me not being in Europe for almost 2 years, But I don’t think so amigos. *** but but you’re paid by the 🇪🇺 now ! How can't you be enamoured walking around Le Marais, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, incredible food and shopping, amazing prices if you eat away from tourist traps, eg unlimited meat buffet right at Le Louchebem, thank me later.

@hispanicnomad @bold_perception Top 3 ugliest cities? Have you walked around the West End before? This entire area is filled with amazing historic buildings. I'm not bullish on London at all, but to say its one of the ugliest in Europe is just plain madness. Berlin is super ugly, as is Warsaw and Milan.

@hispanicnomad @bold_perception Definitely not, millions of migrants have been moving in, if you've been in the last 2 or 3 years you'd notice, and it's being discussed all over Spain and Madrid by locals. Madrid is getting worse. Nowhere near Barcelona levels but its going downhill.

This post shows how cancerous social media has become. Half the people are calling me a shill, liar, a Jew, paid by the government. The other half saying I’m stupid & a dumb American for even believing their was a problem lol Total twilight zone. 2019 I did this same walking route, got harassed left and right by shady characters. Yesterday, in 2026, the same route was total peace, hakuna matata. That was the main point. The second objectively correct point was, X has you believe all of Paris has fallen and it’s a total 3rd world dump. Having been to actual 3rd world dumps, many, the CENTER of Paris where I walked around for 6 hours, is NOT even close to that reality. 3rd. Before it was in VOGUE, when you were ostracized from society saying Europe had an immigration problem, I was on record saying there was a problem. Can’t make it up anymore.
