This is actually a bigger Steam Controller update than it sounds.
• SDL3 now supports the new 2026 Steam Controller outside of Steam
• That means games using SDL can work with it even if the Steam client is not running
• Touchpads, stick capacitive touch, and grip sense support are part of the push
• This is a big win for Linux and non-Steam use in general
• Valve also pushed firmware tweaks for rumble/gyro and trackpad behavior

You can tell indie animation is fucked because the second someone makes an actual fucking cartoon instead of some therapy session bullshit, people complain about it not having some overarching storyline.
These people would bash SpongeBob if it came out today.

As much as I love the art direction for this and I really wanna say good things about indie pilots: I just don't have anything to say about story. This feels like something you'd see as a bumper short inbetween commercials. Even for slice-of-life it's just not that interesting.

Meanwhile in places like LatAm you'd have to be a pretty hardcore anime otaku to not just call any animated show a cartoon.

The “anime became global because of Dragon Ball” narrative ignores how massive anime already was across Europe and Latin America.
It had massive cultural influence long before most Americans noticed anime.
