Today marks an inflection in the Ethereum Foundation's long-term quantum strategy. We've formed a new Post Quantum (PQ) team, led by the brilliant Thomas Coratger (@tcoratger). Joining him is Emile, one of the world-class talents behind leanVM. leanVM is the cryptographic cornerstone of our entire post-quantum strategy. After years of quiet R&D, EF management has officially declared PQ security a top strategic priority. Our journey began in 2019, with the "Eth3.0 Quantum Security" presentation at StarkWare Sessions. Since 2024, PQ has been central to the @leanEthereum vision. The pace of PQ engineering breakthroughs since then has been nothing short of phenomenal. It's now 2026, timelines are accelerating. Time to go full PQ: → PQ ACD: Antonio Sanso (@asanso) kicks off a bi-weekly All Core Devs PQ transactions breakout call next month. These sessions focus on user-facing security, covering dedicated precompiles, account abstraction, and longer-term transaction signature aggregation with leanVM. → PQ foundations: Today we are announcing a $1M Poseidon Prize to harden the Poseidon hash function. We are betting big on hash-based cryptography to enjoy the strongest and leanest cryptographic foundations. Check out our other $1M PQ initiative, the Proximity Prize. → PQ devnets: Multi-client PQ consensus devnets are live! Shoutout to pioneers @zeamETH, @ReamLabs, @PierTwo_com, @geanclient, @ethlambda_lean, as well as established consensus teams Lighthouse, Grandine, and soon Prysm. This incredible teamwork is coordinated by @corcoranwill via weekly PQ interop calls. → PQ workshops: Building on last year's PQ workshop in Cambridge (see photo), the EF is hosting another 3-day PQ event in October. Top experts from around the world will convene. In addition, a PQ day is set for March 29 in Cannes just ahead of EthCC. → PQ FV and AI: Last week Alex Hicks (@alexanderlhicks) ran a specialised maths AI for 8 hours, at a $200 cost. It one-shotted a formal proof one of the hardest lemmas in the foundations of hash-based snarks. Mind-blowing. Applied cryptography will never be the same. → PQ roadmap: A comprehensive breakdown of the EF's proposed PQ strategy will be shared soon™ on pq[.]ethereum[.]org. The roadmap targets a full transition in coming years with zero loss of funds and zero downtime. Stay tuned :) → PQ education: The ZKPodcast (@zeroknowledgefm) is producing a 6-part video series on Ethereum's PQ strategy. EF Enterprise Acceleration is also preparing material for enterprises and nation-states. Finally, Ethereum is now represented on the PQ advisory board that Coinbase announced yesterday. @ifetemini In 2011, a bomb blast occurred at Living Faith Church in Yelwa, Bauchi, which was not far from our church. The ground shook as if an earthquake was happening. The next Sunday, we were still in church that was the height of the suicide bombings. You are in Lagos; go to church.

I’ve never been scared of church in my entire life, but today I am. The bandits are slowly winning, this fear is exactly what they want. Now I’m here asking myself, is it still safe to go to church in Lagos or should I just do online services?😭😭

Indeed, Dr. Ahmad Gumi is doing his best to find solutions for the people of this country. We should appreciate his efforts and support him with prayers. Truly, there is only one path to resolving this crisis: engaging with these groups meaning the bandits involved in kidnappings so that we can reach them, enlighten them, and educate them. Only through knowledge will they understand that what they are doing is wrong. Scholars should also emulate the tireless efforts of Dr. Ahmad Gumi in promoting peace within the community. We pray that Allah helps us, grants us a way out of our challenges, brings peace to us & to our country, and elevates Islam & the Muslims.

Yesterday, 24 hunters out 29 from the North were killed via jungle justice in Uromi Edo state. They were hunters coming from River state to Kano state. Unfortunately, local security men stopped them and accused them of being kidnappers. With them are their personal luggage, including dogs and hunting guns. The Uromi people claimed that they're kidnappers and burned them alive. If this are southerners burnt alive in the north you can imagine the outrage. While we discuss who knows who and who knows what, let me state that, our feeds are well visible to the global market/audience and instead of spending so much time highlighting many issues, we should spend more time talking about what we can do, what we are doing and what we are building. Many people have so much "lamentation" on their feed more than what they are actually working on and they wonder how/why they aren't getting gigs. Funny that builders have been building across various ecosystem and many of them now have moved to become degen cos of "flash bull", then the question is why have they being punishing themselves all along building. Whether you know someone or not, if you become valuable and your work is visible, and you are also willing to contribute in the right places, you will get opportunities that will produce payment, doesn't necessarily have to be degen level. We were all here in February when builders/contributors made as high as $40,000 to $300,000 from a builder focused airdrop while degens are wallowing in losses and creating spaces to console themselves. Let's spend time as builders to talk about our projects, engage each other, ask questions, talk about our wins without necessarily speaking about amount and all. I spoke to three separate persons in the last 48hours who have received $25k grants each from a protocol to build something while they still stand a chance to benefit from a $1M pool, and i can tag over 7 persons whose groups have qualified for same opportunities in the last 3-5months. Degens will degen, builders should build and focus on building, not ruling out degens that also build and builders that also degen
