Enterprise tech jobs are a great place to be mentored, and learn about scale and complexity rarely seen in other places, all at a reasonable pace. I’ll be writing 100 articles on domains you should learn to add value to the enterprise. Stay tuned!

Master your craft. That is under your control. 90% of the knowledge you need is free and online. Knowledge not written can be gained by your network.

Could production environments become so reliable that we eliminate the need for test and staging?

FYI, If you’ve ever had the interview question: “what happens when you put [some domain].com into the browser”— that’s your opportunity to show what you understand about system architecture. Honestly, I wish they would just ask that question directly.

7️⃣ Let egos go unchecked • Egos can happen at any level... • But they can be MASSIVE at the exec level • This leads to unhealthy conflict & division across the company • Get this in check and drive a "one team one dream" mentality

Regardless of what role you want in tech, it’s always valuable to have basic understanding of system architecture. Don’t shy away from being more technical. It can only help you.

Back in September 2020, I conducted a competitive analysis of Product Management communities and bootcamps. I stumbled on @MentorMesh and I remember telling my colleague, "Watch this community grow!" I joined Mentor Mesh in the fall of 2020. By February, I started helping out with various Mentor Mesh initiatives alongside my mentor, Dominik Finke, a dedicated Technical Product Manager. Through this community, I connected and became friends with @NoDegreeCareers, whom I met in person last year. I also connected with Mentor Mesh founder @JaeOnTech, whose career transition story, marked by discipline, perseverance, and resilience, has inspired over 5,000 people. Last year, I had the honor of speaking on the Career Transitions panel at the Virtual Summit MMX23. This year, I'm thrilled to be part of the organizing committee for the Mentor Mesh Virtual Summit MMX24, taking place on October 26th at 12 PM EST. I'm really excited about this event and will be sharing more details soon—stay tuned! Best of all, it's free! Details 👇👇 linkedin.com/company/mentor…

When you ask people to think beyond what they are used to, they might be skeptical. But that’s NOT a signal to stop. You could be on to something great.

We use many deployment strategies to help us feel confident a complex app release is successful. What if AI could prevent bad deployments—keeping bad code from ever hitting production?

I’ve been working for top tech companies for the last 10+ years, and there is always a consistent problem we deal with. A constant cycle of defining, re-defining, writing visions, re-visioning, prioritizing, re-prioritizing.

It’s important to have opinions. But at times it’s equally important to disagree, but then commit to where your team wants to go. It’s okay to try, learn, and try again.

Kelsey makes a great point. So funny how so many people are so literal they don’t get the obvious reasoning behind the statement.
