The message from our youth #debaters was clear: Agency over servers. Equity/collaboration over exploitation. Sovereignty over isolation. It was not a one-side easy win; both teams had valid arguments and the debate has revealed at least a common foundation: we all want an Africa that is resilient, self-reliant and globally relevant. The Ministry of Health is partnering with Causal Foundry to integrate Artificial Intelligence into community health systems, strengthening data use, decision-making, and service delivery at the primary care level. Today, Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards, Mary Muthoni, met with Eric Angula, Vice President for Public Sector Partnerships at Causal Foundry, to align on practical implementation priorities under the partnership. The collaboration reflects the Ministry’s commitment to deploying responsible, people-centred technology to reinforce primary healthcare systems and fast-track progress towards Universal Health Coverage.
