Remarkably, we've created an economic system where capital can get such high profits from low-investment lines of business like financial engineering, predatory scams, and software platforms that, even when we do the imperialism to give our oil magnates cheap mineral rights in Venezuela AND billions of dollars in de facto subsidies from Venezualan soveign liabilities, the oil magnates are still like "I don't know, bro, it might not be profitable enough for us to invest"
