After noticing a creative infographic about church Hx on X this morning, I saw the same infographic shared on Substack — both with the exact same caption (verbatim, no quotes nor credit given). Some might think this isn’t a “big deal,” but I do. (1)

@oliverburdick Seeing the comments, I think folks see his statement as a denial (initially). But it also sounds like he is identifying with the other captives (“their”).

This is Matthew Ayegra. 11 years ago, he was murdered by Islamic extremists along with 20 others. He wasn’t a Christian. But after seeing the faith and courage of other captives refusing to deny Christ, when he was asked to renounce Him he reportedly said, “Their God is my God.”

@JennMGreenberg @WesleyLHuff Sister, i too remember seeing the 2nd tower hit and the news replaying this scene. I was 29 and in grad school away from home. It was such a blessing witnessing copious amounts of people meeting at churches to pray.

People either love “It’s A Wonderful Life” or they hate it. Which person are you?

Is just me, or is accurate to say that society prefers lies — if given by a friend, versus truth — if presented by an opponent. Truth is undervalued today. But kindness isn’t. My prayer is that Christians value both (1 Cor 13:6).

@DrFrankTurek The evidence of intense radiation from the inside going out is incredibly compelling!! Combined with the pollen from the 1st century on the fibers. It’s not meant to be worshipped, but is archeological evidence pointing to a real event in history.
