In the last two months of my senior year of high school, I was informed by the vice principal (a tiny woman with a bad attitude) that I would not be graduating because I skipped a class too many and would need to repeat a semester. It didn't matter that I had a B in the course, she was adamant that she would not let me graduate, and nothing I said could convince her otherwise.
I told her I would drop out and go to a neighboring school to get my diploma, thus denying her school the graduation stat; which is exactly what I did.
