Very difficult question. You can’t make money without features (aka an edge) so that has to be the most important. Without good portfolio construction you will be inefficient in monetising your edge. And without good risk management you will blow up even with an edge. I’d rank this equal. By modelling, I assume you mean the way you combine features to get a prediction? That’s probably the least important.

@BeatzXBT Awesome, yeah, that makes sense for sure. Can always get caught off-guard and accept that as a crypto-specific risk imo, but you can definitely reduce that risk.

its impossible to avoid on a symbol yes, but im trying to be smarter on the symbol choice itself. which exchanges have listed it? what are conditions like if a listing hits suddenly? how old is the coin? many Qs i now ask myself which make me more aware of my risk (so i can adjust sizing accordingly).

cant help myself to think 'what if' on this loss. really made a dent in my confidence at the time, and i think thats a good thing for my future decision making. never going to let this happen again.

@Alice_comfy I don't think it's the price impact of the sales themselves, but what it represents for ETH as whole. Horrible look for a foundation to 24/7 dump their token while price is dropping. Doesn't signal confidence in the project

Beyond price, what is this Ethereum drama about. I'd assume most people are smart enough to know EF's sales don't have a material impact on ETH's price. Is it that people now believe EF chose the wrong horse with the L2 approach vs l1 scaling?
