I generated this image to make you understand my point better. Even though Man City finished second on the English Premier League table and Manchester United finished third, Man City are in a mournful sadness while Man United are celebrating. This is the philosophical condition of all human ambition. Our joy and suffering are not measured in absolute position, but in distance from where we thought we would be.

The married man
The married man@marriedmn·
Divorce rates are high in this generation for one simple reason. People don't understand what marriage actually is. Social media made everyone believe there's always someone better out there, a richer man, a prettier woman, a more exciting life, but comparison kills loyalty. People want weddings, not marriages. They'll spend months planning a ceremony and zero time learning how to communicate when things get hard. Nobody knows how to argue anymore. They yell, they shut down, they run instead of learning how to fight for each other. Money pressure exposes weak foundations. Instead of building together, couples turn on each other, men stop leading, women stop respecting their men, temptation is everywhere. Now everyone uses therapy words to escape accountability. Everything is toxic, everything is trauma. Nothing is ever their fault. There's no community pressure to stay married anymore. No elders saying work it out. Just friends saying leave. You deserve better. Kids became optional, sacrifice became outdated and vows became suggestions. Marriage used to mean I'll suffer with you. Now it means I'll stay as long as I'm happy. And that's why divorce is high. Because people don't know how to suffer together. They only know how to quit when excitement is no longer there. We are in the trenches!!

When they move abroad as immigrants - they make friends based on visa categories. They don't even date below their visa categories. 😂 When they're on Twitter, the reiterate that stratification. small accounts vs big accounts. 💀 I reflect a lot on our ideological design, as a people. Nigerians are morally bankrupt, culturally deficient and rooted in faux elitism. This is why some markets exist for us, because they can take advantage of that shameless insecurity - and I genuinely don't think the reason is poverty. I've visited other poor countries. These countries do not see cars beyond what they are, a means a transportation. They don't see restaurants beyond what they are. They don't see dates beyond what they are. Something fundamentally is wrong with us. For us, it isn't even enough that we succeed - it is important that other fail, or don't succeed as much as we do. It is important for us to have an edge other others. It is such a sick attitude. Person A has one house. Person B has two houses. It isn't enough that they both have roof over their heads - Person B innately subclasses Person A. You should also to hear from a Nigerian gym goer that you're not "man enough" because you don't bench as much as he does. 💀 As segwayed as these analogies are, they are rooted in the same proportionality. It points to the same mental illness. Who did this to us?

A few weeks ago someone gave my husband moose meat (Yeah google moose to see what the animal looks like). Man brought it home and said we should try it. I told him there was no way my Nigerian tongue would caught near moose meat. My husband decided to make stew with it. When he started frying it, I nearly puked. It had this distinct flavour that was so alien For days I did not even want to use the same pot to cook. So we just dumped it in the freezer. Oga kept begging me to cook moose meat. I said “nahhh fam” Weirdly, my husband loved it and kept cooking it for himself. Another time he made stew and put his moose in one corner of the pot while I ate my regular chicken. One tiny piece of moose found it’s way on top my rice. This time, it did not taste or smell as bad Another time, another piece of moose entered my plate. Not only did it not taste bad, it actually tasted beefy to me My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, guess who went to the freezer to use the remaining moose to make stew some days ago? Yup, me! And this is my way of reminding you dear child of God that when you keep allowing things that you know don’t please God around you, you’ll be amazed at how much you can adjust to start doing things you swore you would never do Like me, you can go from being nauseated by moose meat one day and using it to make stew the next. The command is to “flee” Not adjust Not tolerate Not say cook your own one side and let me cook on the other side The Bible says flee Your no stronger than Samson o Blessings!

@JacobRano @MUFCDarren_ Fact bro! I don’t see how the results have been Carrick’s brilliance. If anything, the standards have been dropping consistently in terms of hard work off the ball.

Manchester United need to sit down with Casemiro and ask him for one more season because they don’t have a replacement for him, he’s the steel of that midfield. His presence allows Mainoo and Bruno to express themselves more.

You know that episode of Rick & Morty where Rick reveals that there is an entire civilisation of people living inside his car battery who don't know that the sole purpose of their whole existence is to generate electricity to power a mad scientist's wacky space adventure car? That is where Nigeria is right now, and that's why I am militant to the point of putting myself in trouble by talking about why Nigerians need to stage the most bloody and violent revolution Africa has ever witnessed. Because entire future branches of history are being wiped out because young Nigerians are trapped in an economy whose job is to make white people and a tiny Nigerian minority rich at the expense of 230,000,000 people like this. This 19 year-old kid already has the sagging shoulders of a 47 year-old man with the world's weight on him, and he has already learned to not expect anything good to ever happen to him in life. All it took to show him a fork in his future trajectory was a fucking $47 tile cutting machine, and he's now going to hold on to this new opportunity and make a better life for himself - but there are literally millions of him out there that will never meet a benefactor, or that don't even have the skills needed to maximise this opportunity. There is only ONE entity in any African country that has the power to carry out interventions like this in people's lives on a large scale - the state! A content creator can change one life like this and get viewed 10 million times, but a government can change 10 million lives like this without batting an eyelid! Only the government has the transformational capital and the incentive to do this in millions of lives! That is why being led by people who don't work for you is a literal life-and-death matter! When we talk about neo-colonialism, this is what the fuck it is about! When you have a government installed by foreigners, which allocates billions of Naira in public revenues to enrich foreign intelligence assets like Gilbert Chagoury via transnational corruption schemes like the nonexistent "coastal highway" - this is the result! Nigeria's money is not being used to invest in the lives and betterment of Nigerian people! It is being used to enrich white men in Washington DC who are already richer than God, with a fraction going to their local collaborators in Abuja! This kid and millions like him are the direct victims! Their future possibilities and bloodlines are being extinguished with poverty so that Peter McBillionaireStein and Matthew Von WhiteManBerg in Manhattan and London can increase their Q3 dividend payout by 15%. Neo-colonialism is not a victimless crime! You are all living inside Rick Sanchez's car battery!
