You can actually see the leading clouds associated with the approaching cold front in the background of the picture, I suspect i maybe have 10 mins left in the sun before it ruins my fun!

Not a bad day to end the spell of nice weather, once again today proved better than forecasted
Albeit cooler, still pleasant in the sunshine
Turning colder and potentially quite chilly at times with a potential for frost and wintry showers this week, though mostly limited to higher ground

A much nice day than forecast here, initially only expected to reach mid teens with haze/high cloud persistent most the day suppressing temps
However after mid morning, the haze and fog from the morning cleared up and light winds and clear skies have allowed temps to rise to 16c at present
Maybe 17-18 at peak, if the remaining haze fades

Enjoy the "false spring" whilst we have it this weekend everyone, plausible to say that by next week we return to colder conditions
Westerly influence returns with it bringing below average temps, drab days and feeling cold!

Yes the map's red..not because highs could be 21C tomorrow, but because this is a departure from average mid March highs of >9 degrees..Eg as ECMWF model output for Porthmadog below shows temperatures likely to climb above the 99% of model climate..extreme, & yes worthy of red

One of my favourite days is here/will be tomorrow! Its the vernal equilux (spring)
It signifies an important shift in the seasons, as on the equilux we enter equal night and day, and then on the equinox in a few days, daylight will be longer than night
