@bigmarvin This looks a lot like the Takram Engineering work by @shotamatsuda - are you building on it or developing your own pipeline?

We need to stop talking about product design in absolutes… there are no rules. Everything is made up. Do what makes sense and feels right.

@servasyy_ai 4. Load upscaled satellite data, terrain (Mapbox and Stamen) 5. Pre cache a few other modes - false color, hillshade OSM roads and buildings can be loaded on the fly (then cached) Preset infrastructure builder (energy, telco etc) Local weather data, and a lot more...

@servasyy_ai This is part of a heavy infrastructure scenario tester - a kind of a digital twin "lite" (use cases like mining, telco, energy. Build flow is 1. Define area 2. Normalise against h3 grid 3. Load DEM (multipel sourcers, mapbox, opentop, bespoke...

@darylginn There is no magic number. It's about visual balance — between text, other components. What's being communicated. Intention. Art direction. A number is fine to start with, but designers need to see it.

Okay, let's talk line height. Headings are typically 100%. Can even go to 90% or 110%, it depends. The larger the heading, the less you will need. Body copy is typically 150%, but 140% can also feel right. It depends on the size and line length. Don't overcomplicate it.

@darylginn Depends largely on the font x-height and like @zelmanski_tom mentioned foreign diacritical marks can get in the way of tight leading

Seeing this shit from an account and a project I used to admire is crazy. You should go back to what you were good at, being an engine, not defending shitty takes on Twitter and taking sides with AI slop.

There should be an option to tell @googlemaps “there’s a train in the way so please stop telling me to go in that direction bc I’m in a rush”

One of my biggest struggles with Sky Pro has been trying to navigate 120 parameters (yes I counted them🫠). I want the demo to be user-friendly, so I took some inspiration from Blender and came up with this tabbed approach instead of collapsible panels. Thoughts? 🤔

I just shipped 38 AI loaders! muload is out: a simple home grid, then open Customize to dial in colors, timing, and style with a live preview. Built to make loaders match a brand without fuss. Copy. Paste. Ship. Link 👇

A lot of people liked my in browser viewshed analysis, so you might like my in browser time isochrones. Really handy if you want to see response times for emergency vehicles or other resources.

WebGL / WebGPU@webgl_webgpu·
Hey all, As some of you may know, the WebGPU.com / WebGL.com starter site was launched during the holidays to gather initial feedback. It's now time to start building the proper community site. I'd love a helping hand to code this together. I'm looking to hire an experienced full-stack developer and I'd rather hire from within the community. Why not, right? The tech stack I'm considering: Next.js, Shadcn/Tailwind, PayloadCMS, and Drizzle ORM. What's really important to me is a full stack developer with a great eye for design and the full stack experience to co-build this with me into production. Please email me your resume, projects, and any other info: admin@webgpu.com

First pass POC of a "Just Enough Fidelity" digital twin. This is being developed as a scenario triage tool — rough enough to compare strategic options, fast enough to do it before commissioning the deeper work.
