Anaheim's loss to Minnesota means that LA controls their destiny avoiding Colorado in R1. If they win out against VAN & CGY, they avoid Colorado regardless of what Anaheim does against Nashville. Anaheim could have to face Colorado in R1 😬

Blues and Jets are both losing. Assuming that holds, if the Sharks are to fall down the standings, they will need to lose both of their last games in regulation. Even 1 point would lock them into 10th last minimum

@TOSharks @ProfHockeyYT After the top 5, the rest of the dman are not worth it that high of a pick, either possible solid 3rd pairing guys, or long project (like Lin/Villeneuve), which is not worth it at all that high. We have to pray one of the top 5 is still there

@ProfHockeyYT Yeah expected this after the Nashville win, basically makes it more likely that we finish with pick #10-12 compared to #7-9. Could be a critical missed opportunity and at this point seeing how Grier tends to go BPA I think he goes for a Forward assuming the top 5 d are gone.

Assuming the Sharks miss the playoffs and if the Oilers don’t make the WCF, does Grier prepare a GODFATHER offer to go up to 3rd or 4th overall to get Verhoeff or Reid? Talking 9th OVR, 19th OVR and 2-3 of their top 7 prospects for 3rd or 4th OVR.
