Horrified by yet another night of deadly Russian missile attacks on Ukraine. My thoughts are with the Ukrainian victims and also with the staff of @EUDelegationUA, whose building was damaged in this deliberate Russian strike. The EU will not be intimidated. Russia’s aggression only strengthens our resolve to stand with Ukraine and its people.

The EU Delegation in Kyiv was damaged by today’s Russian strikes on civilian areas. I strongly condemn these brutal attacks, a clear sign that Russia rejects peace & chooses terror. Our full solidarity goes to EU staff, their families, & all Ukrainians enduring this aggression.

Last year, at least 390 aid workers - a record high - were killed across the world. International law is clear: Humanitarians can never be targeted. This World Humanitarian Day, let's #ActForHumanity & say in one voice: An attack on humanitarians is an attack on humanity.

To those with power and influence. Last year, we called on you to act: 🔴Respect the rules of war. 🔴Protect humanitarians and civilians. 🔴End impunity. Nothing changed. How much more suffering will you ignore? On #WorldHumanitarianDay, we urge you to #ActForHumanity – now.

From pushback to rollback, women’s human rights are under attack. Instead of mainstreaming equal rights, we’re seeing the mainstreaming of misogyny. Together, let’s stand firm in making rights, equality & empowerment a reality for all women & girls, for everyone, everywhere.

Today addressing the @UN_HRC, I sounded the alarm on the urgent need to protect the international order - an order that has brought stability and progress. We must build peace from the ground up, commit to the rule of law, and unite around human rights. We can and will persevere.

Today, we welcomed Christina Nilsson from the Danish Institute for Human Rights (DIHR). We shared insights from our 30+ years of working to advance women's and children's rights, and discussed our innovative approaches, with an emphasis on human rights-based strategies to enhance access to justice.

This afternoon, we received in our office a delegation from the Danish Institute for Human Rights (DHIR) led by International Director @Mette_DIHR. Together, we reflected on how LAF has been advancing access to justice for vulnerable communities in Rwanda since 2006!

We all have a role to play in stopping the spread of harmful misinformation online, which can result in people being left uninformed, unprotected & vulnerable. Before you share content online, pause to verify facts by doing further research & asking basic questions.

The business & human rights movement has a vital aim: to ensure profits don't come at the expense of people or planet. Today, I called again for a legally-binding instrument on business & human rights-to prevent new human rights abuses, new disasters & new ecological devastation.

Critical voices are under attack. The backlash against human rights is growing. Legitimate protests are curbed, repression is rising, and public space is shrinking. Human rights defenders stand up for what is right, often at great personal risk. We must protect them.
