Today, we celebrated a milestone moment for @UofU_HMHI and patients across Utah and the Mountain West. The Kem and Carolyn Gardner Crisis Care Center is now open. The 82,000-square-foot center offers 24/7, no refusal walk-in care for adults experiencing a mental health crisis. A multidisciplinary team—including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, case managers, and peer specialists—work to de-escalate crisis, stabilize patients, and connect them to community resources. Thank you to Kem and Carolyn Gardner, the Huntsman family, community leaders, and the teams at HMHI who helped make this happen!
