In our Article of the Week, we highlight Danish study published in JAMA Pediatrics that found no significant associations between prenatal #acetaminophen exposure and the risk of #autism in offspring. The topic has been particularly highlighted in the United States, where, in 2025, federal government agencies expressed concerns about associations between acetaminophen use during #pregnancy. Read here for full study findings: hubs.li/Q04cBQrL0

Great institutions are shaped by great leadership. Excited to share that Kristina Callis Duffin, MD, MS, has been appointed dean of the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine, effective May 1. Having served as interim dean this past year, she will continue leading @uofumedicine’s efforts across education, research, and patient care, with a focus on supporting students, faculty, and continued growth across the region. Congratulations, Dr. Callis Duffin! bit.ly/4sO6KlZ

💬 Viewpoint: Routine exclusion of pregnant individuals from RCTs has resulted in gaps in drug safety data, which can lead to unrecognized risks, inappropriate medication avoidance, or delayed guideline recommendations. ja.ma/40ReNSA

Wonderful op-ed by a mother who explains how NIH-funded research @UofUHealth saved her daughter's life. "That research — and Briar’s life — demonstrate just how critical federal support is to scientists, doctors and, especially, the patients they help. sltrib.com/opinion/commen…

Earlier this week we lost a true “giant” in the field of #OBGYN and #MaternalFetalMedicine. Dr. Resnik, long-time Department Chair @UCSD_ObGyn, mentored and inspired thousands of physicians around the world. May his memory be a blessing. 🙏🏾
