@UnityCodeMonkey That's assuming I have more code after the return and running the code in Update, if we are making assumtions like that then I can say the code fails because you didn't declare anything at all. You might not want to something to run always, this way so you can turn it on or off.

This code risks a crash, because you can not guarrantee OnTickEvent wont become null by another coroutine executing and unsubscribing from the event while this is inside the while loop. Use OnTickEvent?.Invoke I'm just being difficult. 😂

@UnityCodeMonkey I make all my validations at the start of the method, then varaible declarations, after would be this and finally the return, there is no way to know if this will crash, just run or throw an error as is. This feels like you want an excuse so you can go: "Well askcully! ☝️🤓"
