My Hindi video on Kamal Maula mosque, misnomered as Bhojshala should be out in a couple of weeks. But sharing a piece I had written back in 2016, on how the myth of the Bhojshala was manufactured in the 20th c, the term itself first coming up in 1903!

A High Court in India has declared a 600 year old mosque as a temple!! 🤦🏻♀️ The Kamal Maula mosque is dated by inscription btw, it's name Bhojshala is a 20th c misnomer. I had made a video in English (youtu.be/K0-1uXG-a7g) long back explaining the history, Hindi video will be out in a couple of weeks!

That's a Nagari (not Devnagri) inscription, and they are common throughout Muzaffarid infrastructure.
For example: yere are Sanskrit and Arabic inscriptions from Bai Harir Stepwell, but they aren't Hindu in nature - rather explicitly commemorate Sultan Mahmud Shah's reign.

Someone commented that changing T-shirts in public is “against Indian culture.” Interesting observation. A person who cheats, lies, exploits loopholes and makes money through illegitimate means is often socially acceptable - as long as they don’t get caught.
