LEADERSHIP: THE ART OF NOT STANDING IN THE WAY Leadership is the art of not doing rather than doing. One key leadership request to people depending on the leader should be:  ‘tell me what not to do’. It’s therefore as well the art of withdrawing so others can have the way. It’s backstage instead of front stage. Of course leadership is plural so it has many faces. But one of them is rather invisible, the silent orchestrator of conditions so people can thrive and the organization can succeed. The one that leads by not standing in the way. That one intrigues and interests me. May be we can reset a bit.
