@joshibza Maybe it’s more of individualizing the priority for each patient rather than a one-cap fits all approach to the HO to check BP, RR, PR, Temp for each patient while disregarding what nurses have done. Some profs choose to check their own BP even after the Reg/SR had checked

Messi bruh, i’ll never imagine he’ll reach 2 world cup final after France knocked them out in 2018, i genuinely thought that 2021 Copa America will be the only international trophy. He ended up winning everything possible in his international career, i’ll never give up man

@joshibza I’ve had arguments with my MOs about this. We need to recognize that Nurses are professionals. If we can’t trust their vitals, why then do they do it?

I’m not trying to be strict, but a doctor should be able to take their own vital signs. If you understand how the Nigerian system works and you truly want to make a diagnosis, simply take your own vitals and don’t rely on what the nurses record especially in a center that has a school of nursing. The nurses often leave those duties to the students, and most of them just record the wrong vitals.
Devil's Advocate@Chikel101

@Dr_youngy There are even ones where the HO monitors 30 minutes blood sugar. Imagine wasting a doctor on such a task. I won't even talk about the consultants that insist that the HO must take his own vital signs and you don't dare give them a nurse's vital signs.

It’s crazy when you think about Lionel Messi’s longevity. I remember answering “Messi” when the CKCC Common Entrance Interviewer board asked me “Who’s the best football player in the world?” 16 years later, been a Doctor for a year, and very little has changed.

The Monroe Kellie doctrine states that the cranial cavity is a rigid, closed box containing a fixed total volume of three components: brain tissue, blood, and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). Because this total volume cannot change, an increase in one component must be offset by a reciprocal decrease in the others to maintain normal intracranial pressure (ICP).

One thing I’m certain of is that medical doctors can’t do situationships. They barely have time for themselves, let alone the emotional gymnastics of situationships

There was no way to communicate grievances here, without harassment of this HCW? “I’m upset about absence of HCWs. So, I will attack the only HCW who stayed.” Make it make sense. The aggression towards healthcare workers in Nigerian Hospitals, is a show of shame. @seyimakinde
