State policies and strategies affecting persons with mental health conditions and disabilities do not include effective participation of such persons in development and implementation. As a result, these policies and strategies are unable to address our needs.

Employment & HR policies in MV have yet to incorporate the rights & needs of persons with mental health conditions & disabilities. Employees are forced to give non-mental health related reasons when requesting sick leave instead of stating their true mental health needs.

We possess the right to access information without discrimination, yet it was disheartening to watch the presidential debate on live TV without a sign language interpreter. This leaves us without the necessary information to make an informed voting decision. (2/3)
