@BullTheoryio Are you saying he day traded for a living or worked while trading? If he day traded for a living, he worked his own hours (probably less than a normal 8 hour work shift) and didn't have to answer to management that doesn't care about you. Seems like he won if that's the case.

@GhostOfAdamGase I think if they picked Haulcy instead of Douglas, there would probably be a different vibe about how the GM is doing.

Haulcy would have 100% been my pick with our first 3rd.

Jeremy's point amplifies why Dolphins picking draft's best blocking tight end last night justifies late 3rd round selection IMO, more so because team is maximizing its greatest strength (Achane, run game)

@KingOfPhinland I still don't like his draft process. Even if he was scared to lose out on guys he really liked, you still have to draft for value. Could have had guys like Haulcy and Pregnon while still likely being able to draft Douglas and Kacmarek in the 4th.

Here’s what I’ll say about the draft so far. You may not agree with every pick, but there is a clear IDENTITY. That was Grier’s biggest downfall. His draft record wasn’t actually horrible when you look through everything, he drafted at a league average rate, but his biggest issue was that he could never establish an identity. It was like he just took whoever he liked the most at that spot in a vacuum with no thought as to how they’d fit with the team. Sully is doing the exact opposite. He is taking guys that fit the mold he wants to build and complement each other. You remember how we always asked why can’t we play complementary football? It’s because Grier couldn’t build a complementary team. Sully is laying the foundation to do just that.

@OmarKelly I don't see the value in taking 4th to 6th round projections in the 3rd. Doesn't Rodriguez, Haulcy, Pregnon, Bell, Douglas, then Will Kacmarek sound better when Douglas and Kacmarek were considered at best 4th round guys but would probably be available in the 5th or 6th rounds?

I do like Douglas and Kacmarek - I did have guys like Haulcy, Lane, Brazzell over them - even pregnon double up on OL. Okay with the picks though I like them as players. Not as ecstatic as I was when we picked JROD but not super low on them. We ride.

I had fourteen receivers above Caleb Douglas who were still left on the board. He was 219 on the consensus board. Feels a big reach with Brazzell, Bell, Hurst, etc still on the board.
