🚨 DISQUALIFYING: Democrat U.S. Senate Candidate Abdul El Sayed DEFENDED Livestreamer Hasan Piker for saying, "America deserved 9/11" and, "It doesn't matter" if rapes happened on October 7th. ABDUL EL-SAYED: "It's important to talk about context." Abdul is suggesting that—in the right context—murdering innocent civilians and raping children before killing them may be justifiable. This should absolutely disqualify him from public office. Partisan politics aside, It's just an abhorrent position for any man to take. He's excusing the murder of innocent people, and the rape, torture, abduction and murder of children, in the right context. @AbdulElSayed is not some fringe candidate. He's currently locked in a tight, three way race to be the Democrat Nominee for U.S. Senate in Michigan. 📷 @RNCResearch

As a prosecutor, I’ve never asked whether someone was a Republican or a Democrat. Justice doesn’t work that way. As Attorney General, I won’t allow politics to influence the decisions of my office. No favoritism. No targeting. No lawfare. Every charging decision will come down to the facts and the evidence, plain and simple. That’s how I’ve done the job for over 30 years, and that’s exactly how I’ll serve the people of Michigan.

I am very proud of the work done in Macomb County to ensure safe and secure elections for the voters. This morning was the 2026 Macomb County Election Security Workshop. The event is hosted by Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido and me (as the Macomb County Clerk) at Velocity Center in Sterling Heights. The purpose of the event is to discuss and prepare for emergency situations that may arise surrounding elections. Preparation and coordination are important to identify and quickly respond to disruptions surrounding elections. The event brought together local election administrators as well as representatives of law enforcement, police and fire departments for local communities. When I am elected as Michigan's next Secretary of State, he will bring more programs like this across the state. Safe and secure elections are a high priority in Macomb County, and must be of the utmost important in every corner of Michigan. Do you agree? #elections

This afternoon, I had the pleasure of visiting with the residents of Edgewood Assisted Living Center in Saginaw. We discussed my background in local business and as a prosecutor, the challenges our community is facing, and my plans to address them. It was an invaluable opportunity to gain insight into the issues that matter most to the residents. I also enjoyed hearing their stories about Saginaw through the decades. These memories of "the good old days" serve as a powerful reminder of why I continue to fight for everyone in our district. The problems facing the 35th District affect all of us, regardless of age. Now is the time to expect more for our community.

Meet Sen. Roger Victory, 2026 Nominee for the Michigan State University Board of Trustees. Roger Victory—a farmer by trade and outgoing state Senator—is running to continue being a voice for honesty, accountability and transparency. As a member of the Legislature, Victory said he has led on key MSU priorities, including securing funding for the Dairy Cattle Teaching and Research Center. Victory said there hadn't been a farmer or someone from the agricultural business serving as a MSU trustee in over a decade. This was needed for MSU because it was founded as a land grant university to promote Michigan's agriculture, he said. If elected, Victory would focus more on the university's heritage. He added that another of his priorities would be giving additional support to the MSU Extension, where MSU serves all 83 counties in the state.

🚨 President Donald Trump says he has agreed to a two-week pause in U.S. military strikes on Iran after discussions with Pakistani leaders, including Shehbaz Sharif and Asim Munir. ➡️ The pause is conditional on Iran reopening the Strait of Hormuz safely and immediately. ➡️ President Trump says U.S. military objectives have already been achieved. ➡️ The president says Iran has submitted a 10-point proposal, which could lead to a broader agreement. He describes the situation as a "double-sided ceasefire." ➡️ The goal is to finalize a long-term peace deal between the U.S. and Iran, and broader Middle East stability. Meet Terence Collins, 2026 Nominee for Michigan's State Board of Education. Terence Collins is a Grosse Pointe Park resident and lifelong Michigander who grew up in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, and graduated from the University of Detroit (Mercy). He is a father to three grown children, including a son who graduated from MSU, a daughter who graduated from the University of Michigan and the University of Detroit Mercy for her postgraduate degree, and a daughter who will be a junior at Wayne State in the fall. He also has three young grandchildren, two of whom are currently in elementary school. Terry is an award-winning senior financial analyst with one of Detroit’s big 3 automakers who oversees billion-dollar financial transactions on a daily basis. Terry’s journey into local school board politics began in the spring of 2020 when he realized his local school board and administration had no plan to return students to the classroom in the fall of 2020 due to the Covid lockdown. He watched as local private and parochial schools as well as schools just across the border in Macomb County planned to reopen in September 2020 for face-to-face learning. Terry spent the better part of the next two years fighting to return students to the classroom late in April 2021 and then fighting to remove mask mandates that kept local students masked until February of 2022.

Meet Bree Moeggenberg, 2026 Nominee for Michigan's State Board of Education Bree Moeggenberg, a Mt. Pleasant resident, is a mother of three and longtime champion for children and families. For nearly two decades, she has worked as a licensed childcare provider and small business owner. She has firsthand experience in early childhood development and she has witnessed the challenges families face in education today. For her, this race isn’t political, it’s personal. Like many parents, she can relate. Bree has worked hard to support her own children’s academic success. As an involved parent, when her concerns with educational content in school were dismissed, she was motivated to speak out and advocate not just for her children, but for unsupported parents and teachers across Michigan. Kids FIRST. Parents FIRST. Education FIRST. - This is more than a slogan, it’s how she will work. It’s not just her framework, it is THE framework for restoration that is grounded in truth, transparency, and trust within a safe, neutral classroom. Follow Bree @BreeMoeggenberg right here on X.

EASTER SUNDAY - HE IS RISEN! We celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and his triumph over sin and death, offering the hope of salvation to all humankind. As St. Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 15:17, "If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile." To Christians, Christ’s resurrection validates Jesus’ teachings and his identity as the Son of God. It is a joyful affirmation that life does not end with death, but rather marks a passage to eternal life in communion with God. As we gather with loved ones in joyful celebration, let us also give thanks to all those working today, including food service workers and staff. We honor the brave men and women of the U.S. armed forces, who are away from family today, and we give thanks to police and first responders who are also working to protect their communities and take care of those in need on this Easter Sunday.

🚨 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MIGOP CO-CHAIR SUNNY REDDY 🎂 SUNNY'S MESSAGE: "Today feels like a moment to pause and reflect. Not on differences… but on purpose. Not on noise… but on what truly matters. We all come from different paths, different experiences, and different perspectives—but what unites us is always greater than what divides us. Real leadership isn’t about proving a point. It’s about bringing people together and moving forward as one. Let’s choose respect over attacks. Let’s choose solutions over complaints. Let’s choose unity—every single time. Because the future isn’t built by individuals standing apart. It’s built by people standing together. Stronger together. Always." Follow Sunny Reddy at @SunnyforWSU right here on X.
