@1zzyzyx1 It’s been a reality show since he first ran. Our country idolizes reality stars & $$$. Many need constant entertainment. “t” was never a viable candidate, had the media not made him so, to drive up ratings. Our country has lost its soul.

Whenever I hear a new detail in the Gisele Pelicot case I’m further horrified. Imagine thinking you’re in a loving marriage - and suddenly finding out your husband has been inviting men to assault you while you’re unconscious? It only gets worse from there /1 🧵

@WhereToRightNow @broadwaybabyto And he wasn’t concerned it would be considered murder if her husband is not grieving, but inviting men to have sex with her body? Wouldn’t it be considered a crime to not report a possible murder?

I often hear folks say, “Donald Trump sent me a check during the pandemic.” I want to make sure you understand this: Congress sent you a check. By the way, Joe Biden also sent you a check during the pandemic, just like I gave people relief during the Great Recession. The difference is that we didn’t put our names on it – because it wasn’t about feeding our egos or advancing our politics, it was about helping people. So don’t be giving him credit for that. And don’t give him your vote, either. There’s only one candidate in this election who cares about you, and that’s Kamala Harris.

My mom just told me she cancelled her subscription to The Washington Post. She reads every one of my stories. It was a heartbreaking call. I understand why she did it, but I asked her to reconsider. To anyone who has cancelled or is thinking about cancelling, here’s what I said:

@DsWattles @RawStory Everyone should track their ballot. If you do not get confirmation it has been received, you can go in to vote & it will automatically disqualify the mailed in ballot if that ballot shows up after you vote. So…there is no voting twice.

Misogyny in medicine is focusing more on what a man might WANT than what a woman NEEDS. I NEEDED a hysterectomy and was told I wouldn’t survive pregnancy. “Informed consent” for surgery looked like this: “Don’t you want to be a Mom?” “You may want BIOLOGICAL children” /1 🧵

@fred_guttenberg It’s hard to believe we have to beg anyone to vote when so many were denied & even died for the right to vote. Also, it wasn’t until the ‘70’s that 18 yr olds could vote (⬇️from 21). If one can be sent to war, they should want to vote on the leader who will make this decision.

Dear young people. We need to talk. I am deeply concerned by how many of you continue to suggest that you will not vote. I am reaching out to you as a dad and as someone who has worked with many of you because I am a dad whose daughter was murdered in school because of gun violence. I have listened to young people from across the country who have shared their fears with me over gun violence, and their futures, and have told me about their anxiety because of active shooter drills. We worked together to pass the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act and to bring to reality the Office of Gun Violence Prevention to the White House. We were only able to do these incredible things because we voted, and we voted for people who respected our rights to be safe. Over the years I have listened to many of you tell me how you believed that young people would do a better job at governing than my generation. Who knows, you may be right. I have listened to many of you tell me how you plan to be future leaders and plan to make a difference as soon as possible. I have also listened to you follow that up by telling me that you may not vote. I just don’t get it. You can’t talk about change, and you can’t talk about being a leader, and not vote. Here is my concern for all of you who want to be the change we need and who want to lead. If you fail to vote in this election, you may never get the chance. If you fail to vote, even as a protest, and Trump wins as a result of YOUR FAILURE NOT TO VOTE, your ability to be the change makers is lost. Your ability to be our future leaders will end. If he wins, his words about ending Democracy and future elections should send a clear message. The message to young people, should Trump win because you did not vote, is simple. If he wins, you lose. If you mean what you say about wanting to do a better job and wanting to lead, IT BEGINS NOW. If you mean what you say, the only way that you can show your commitment to your own beliefs IS TO VOTE NOW!!! If you believe what you say about wanting to continue the work on reducing gun violence, you know how to vote and you know who to vote for. If you believe what you say about bodily autonomy, you know how to vote and you know who to vote for. If you believe what you say about climate change, you know how to vote and you know who to vote for. If you believe what you say about protecting voting rights and making voting more accessible, you know how to vote and you know who to vote for. Theare so many issues that I could go through, and you would know how to vote and know who to vote for. We may not agree on everything with every issue, but this is Democracy. You can only protect Democracy if you participate in it and the most powerful way to do that is to vote. I will be voting for @KamalaHarris and @Tim_Walz, and down ballot for a Congress that they can work with, because I want to protect your futures. I want to protect your rights to be future leaders. I hope that you want to do so as well. It will only happen if you vote. DO NOT SIT THIS ONE OUT. JUST FUCKING VOTE!!!

@ProjectLincoln She won for the fact that she didn’t jump out of her seat to slap him, or stand up and walk out on this BS “interview”. It would have been hard not to. She was being mistreated. Bullied. She is Much stronger than trump who throws out real journalists w/tough questions.

It's happening. They're already starting to lay the groundwork for not certifying the election results. "... the State of West Virginia will not recognize an election of a candidate for President during the 2024 election cycle if the Attorney General of West Virginia or the Secretary of State of West Virginia, in consultation with the West Virginia Legislature, determine that election fraud in any state was a major reason that resulted in a candidate for President obtaining a majority in the Electoral College" wvlegislature.gov/Bill_Status/bi…

@JohnMTalmadgeMD So if he is elected and they claim he isn’t fit to do his duties, shouldn’t we just say so now? We have the proof right now before the election.

@Logically_JC I have ptsd each time I watch videos of the Jan 6th attempted coup of our govt. When it happened I was in shock, & scared for my MN Rep whom I know personally from working on his campaign. Dean Phillips - the one who yelled: “YOU did this!” To the repub’s as they all took cover.

@laurenk_gill It is NOT that liberals care more about the murderer than the victims. (No tears shed). It’s the fact that there are people who have to carry this brutality out & those who have to witness it, adding trauma on top of trauma. It’s the fact that sometimes innocents are put to death

I was a witness for Alabama's execution of Alan Miller by nitrogen gas tonight. Again, it did not go as state officials promised. Miller visibly struggled for roughly two minutes, shaking and pulling at his restraints. He then spent the next 5-6 min intermittently gasping for air
