Glad to see the @HM_Passport delays are finally getting media attention. Missed my flight last week due to not being able to get through to anyone. Was advised to fast track by call staff but then got turned away by woman in Ptrbgh as it was with an upgrades team, when it wasn't!

@PaulBlomfieldMP could you look at what is going on with @HM_Passport please? We were advised to travel 200 miles to fast track&got turned away. Our application is apparently being upgraded but theres one working day until our flight and still heard nothing! Not answering phones

@e_graham15 @PaulBlomfieldMP @HM_Passport No, we phoned yesterday and spoke to someone who said the upgrades team don't even have our application! Despite that being the reason we were turned away in Peterborough. Apparently going to get a call on Tuesday, but I'm not convinced and we fly at 6am 🙄 have you had a call?

@BBCWatchdog can you look into the current situation with @HM_Passport please? My partner has called 50+ times, told different things each time and was advised to travel 200miles to upgrade fast track only to get turned away! Going to miss our flight next week @DailyMailUK @BBC

@Jessica86241716 @SunnyDa00524014 @HM_Passport You spend several hours of your life trying to get through, then they pass you to some other office. You get cut off twice. You finally speak to someone who gives you a magic upgrade email address. You email twice with all the info you are told to include. Then you hear nothing.

@emilylepavoux @philipmaw @HM_Passport Haven't applied yet as am trying to get the passport first but absolutely will not stop until I've had the refund come through, plus more if I miss my flight

Thanks @HM_Passport for advising my partner to cancel his passport and make a fast track appointment, only for us to arrive in Peterborough (200 mile trip) told you can't upgrade if the cancellation isn't processed! Going to miss our flight now & can't get through on the phones!

@Red_head_gill @SHUTTY1985 @HM_Passport Yeah we've been waiting for a call for about 5 days now. It's so stressful, I honestly don't know what to do! If we weren't in this upgrades team we could book an in person appointment, but they turned us away bc it's with this new team. This 'upgrade' isn't really an upgrade!!

@Red_head_gill @SHUTTY1985 @HM_Passport I fly on Tuesday (& there's only one more business day now because of the bank holiday), am still awaiting a call from this new upgrades 14 day team. I wouldn't hold out hope 😫

Come on @HM_Passport I’ve been waiting 8 weeks now for my daughter’s renewal. Called 10 days ago and every day since. No progress. We travel on Wednesday- I hope. Have offered to drive 5 hours to collect . Getting so worried now. £1200 Easter holiday at risk with no response.

After the most stressful 8 days, traveling up and down the UK, phone calls & ££ today i was able to collect this baby!! Thankyou so so much to the @HM_Passport #Liverpool you where amazing! Especially Cory and Stephen. Done more for me in 4 hrs than the others in 8 days! Bravo x

@DsCritchley @HM_Passport Absolutely - will keep you in the loop. Sorry you've also had to go through this, it's so stressful I wouldn't wish it on anyone! We're focusing on trying to get the passport first, then will be doing everything possible to get refunds and compensation for losses

@HM_Passport @rachey_31 Missed my flight sunday as my children’s passports are still being processed probably going to miss a family wedding as well waiting for a phone call from the upgrade team been waiting since Friday 😤
