@MiaSpedding @HM_Passport 1/2 Yes! This exactly happens to me. I was told to cancel my application and go to Peterborough for a fast track but then got turned away like you. Also like you I booked my flights based on getting a passport from the fast track.

Thanks @HM_Passport for advising my partner to cancel his passport and make a fast track appointment, only for us to arrive in Peterborough (200 mile trip) told you can't upgrade if the cancellation isn't processed! Going to miss our flight now & can't get through on the phones!

Sent off documents to @HM_Passport on 30/3 with @RoyalMail and just got a reminder text to chase for them. Anyone know how long it takes for them to update their system or do we think they’ve been lost? Annoyingly, only got a receipt from post office rather than tracking details

I have a newborn and a 2 year old stranded in China. I’ve got zero help from the consulate and can’t get through to anyone at @HM_Passport . I’ve been on hold for two days, transferred again and again . I just want to bring my children back to Essex safely! @pritipatel

@HM_Passport I have tried calling you since 8.30am today. I've tried over 25 times. Sometimes I'm on hold for 15 mins and it then cuts me off all together. We're about to lose our family holiday and 4k because our passports haven't arrived on time. An absolute shambles

@nismoneil @HM_Passport @pritipatel Try option 8 on the phone. I found that works better than option 3.

What a shambles @HM_Passport is, Does everything @pritipatel touch turn to dust. Upto 10 weeks to wait for a Passport is unacceptable. Can't even enquire by phone as it cuts you off because its so busy. #PassportChaos

@Stephan01751759 @HM_Passport I got a call back once, it was promised the next day but I came the next week. Because I was expecting it I assumed it was a cold caller and didn’t answer.

@HM_Passport Anyone ever received a call back? If so, how long did it take? I've been promised numerous times a 48 hour call back as waiting for a passport that was dispatched on the 24th Feb and never received. Just been on hold for 2.5hrs to be told the same. Been near 3 weeks and no call
