@hatsunama @Row_Haastrup Really? That's a very interesting opinion. I actually thought it was a great movie. I am curious to know why you think it's a bad movie. Do you mind sharing? Thanks

Hollywood didn’t want to make a movie about Jesus, so Mel Gibson paid for The Passion of the Christ himself. When Gibson decided to move forward with the film, major studios refused to touch it. Executives saw it as too religious, too graphic, too controversial, and too focused on Scripture. A movie centered almost entirely on the crucifixion, spoken in Aramaic and Latin, with no effort to modernize or soften the message, was considered box-office suicide. So Gibson made a rare move in modern Hollywood. He funded the project himself, investing roughly $30 million of his own money and releasing the film without studio backing. The industry openly doubted it would succeed, predicting audiences wouldn’t show up and theaters wouldn’t support it. They were wrong. The Passion of the Christ went on to earn more than $600 million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing independent film in history and one of the most successful faith-based films ever released. It didn’t rely on studio approval, trends, or mainstream validation. It was driven by conviction. The message of the cross didn’t need Hollywood’s permission — and it still reached the world.

@chaplinez70 Charles, everything you said is true. But let's look at the brighter side. It's not like the players and coaches decided not to play well from the beginning. There are many factors that contributed to the mess we found ourselves. But they fought back.

Nigeria should be ashamed celebrating a playoff place considering our opponents in Group C. Despite all of our so called quality, South Africa with 100% home based players got the job done even with 3pts deducted. Remember the playoff is two fold and assurances is VERY limited. Nigeria doesn't deserve to be at the World Cup. Eritrea pulling out of the qualifiers and the ridiculous decision to deduct points from all teams has denied hard working nations an opportunity of participation. I don't expect you to agree with me.

It's interesting how @PeterObi leaves rent free in @renoomokri's head. This is probably something that needs to be studied.
Reno Omokri@renoomokri

Seventy two hours ago, media reports named Honourable Dominic Okafor, an All Progressives Grand Alliance member of the House of Representatives, representing Aguata, Anambra, as the "Nigerian official" who allegedly demanded a $150 million bribe from Binance. And Peter Obi, who is from Anambra, has said NOTHING, three days after Mr. Okafor was unmasked as the alleged bribe demander. This story has tanked Nigeria's reputation worldwide and has been featured in the New Times, Forbes, Financial Times, the Walls Street Journal, and CNN, amongst others. Now let me ask you this: Would Peter Obi have been this silent if the alleged bribe demander was Honourable Mohammed of the Peoples Democratic Party from Kano or Honourable Adeyemi of the All Progressives Congress from Ibadan? This is a pattern with Peter Obi. If it happens outside the Southeast, he will shout and chase clout. But if it occurs in Igboland, he will chop and clean mouth. That is why he cried more than the bereaved over the burning of Deborah Samuels, who was murdered in Sokoto, but till today, he has said nothing about the burning of the brothers, Chinedu and Omama, who were killed in Onitsha, Anambra state. Similarly, Peter Obi condemned Lagos when the state was carrying out lawful demolitions of properties blocking drainages and causing flooding, yet has remained silent as Anambra carries out a more drastic demolition exercise than Lagos. #TableShaker

@EKEDP It's interesting that you're educating us about updating our meters, but you do nothing to protect us from the fleecing we continue to endure from @EKEDP on account of bad Meter and estimated billing. Not even do you reply emails/complains Really frustrating. Do better.
NERC Nigeria@NERCNG

Have you updated your Meter yet? From November 2024, you may not be able to recharge your meter without updating. Updating is easy and free. The update will not affect the units in your meter, or make your meter run faster than usual. Contact your DisCo for more information.

@EbukaNw82866148 @ruffydfire The FG hasn't been silent on this matter. Mr. Onyema talked extensively on how the Minister of Aviation has been supportive. What needs to happen now is for both the ministries of foreign affairs and that of trade and investment to get involved as well.

@ruffydfire Isn't it disturbing, shameful, and glaringly obvious that they're trying to frustrate Air Peace, who is trying to help the government in stabilizing the Naira, and the FG seems to be silent ???

My friend had a look at Gatwicks Instagram to see if Air Peace received a water Canon salute when the inaugural flight landed. Not only did Air Peace not receive a water canon salute but also Gatwick did not even bother to announce the inaugural flight on their Instagram. Airports always announce new flights on their social media. You can see in the profile above that they announced new flights with airlines from Azerbaijan and Swiss Air in the last few days. This is disgraceful behaviour by Gatwick. Air Peace PR personnel really need to make noise about these things
