@LO_Mariners Straight up, Steven Kwan comes back to the NW for the pride of The Ohio State, Dominic Canzone. Two years of Kwan averages a combined 6.8 WAR. Four years of Dom (with incremental improvement) could be worth the same.

@LO_Mariners What minimum do you think would get the job done? $20m is tossed around. I LOVE Geno. But that seems like an overpay, even if we get last year’s full season version of him. If we get the Mariner version of him from last year, it would be an epically bad deal.

Agents and players don’t like incentives based on ratios. It’s why they’re so often based on counting stats like PAs, HRs, etc. Base is way too low anyways. Non starter for Geno’s camp I’m sure

@LO_Mariners How about an incentive laden contract offer to Geno? $7m guaranteed and then $500k per WRC+ point over 108. So 118 is worth $12m, 128 is $17m.
