@melissabz321 So true! Have had a couple people ask me again later for advice. I politely decline. They always get upset so I ask them how many times they'd fix my car for free if I never drove it again after they fixed it.

@MichaelDWalker They kinda show you wasted your precious energy on them. You genuinely want to help while their thought process is more like: “Please listen to my problem while I avoid change”.

When “help” stretches from days to months… or even years, a person is not even trying to change. They’re looking for attention and validation of a story they fabricated in their mind that they desperately want to be true.

This should be taught at an early and often. Be resilient and tune out the critics.

Not a chance. My furry friends have been with me through the lowest of lows and highest of highs without criticizing me or judging me. Anyone wanting me to get rid of them clearly isn't a soulmate and is automatically disqualified.

I would point to the loss of rational thinking and compassion when Covid hit as the tipping point where much of humanity went over the cliff like mindless lemmings.

I'm revising this to: "You become the average of the 5 people and 5 AIs you spend the most time with."
