The best way for the ADC to escape this trap by Tinubu and INEC is for Sen. David Mark and Aregbesola to step aside and allow the old ADC leadership, led by former National Chairman Ralph Nwosu, to take over and lead the convention, as they are 100% with us. We should not expect justice from the Judiciary or INEC; we must find a way to survive them. We are running out of time. This is my opinion, correct me if I'm wrong.

The ADC must now hire lobbyist in the US to see that pressure is put on Tinubu to conduct free election. From all indications they are not planning free election.

The David Mark’s faction of the ADC really think they can use emotional reasoning and blackmail to bluff their way out of a purely legal conundrum they brought upon themselves. Unfortunately for them, law does not admit of sentiment. Decisions are based on facts, evidence, and the interpretation of laws, rather than on sympathy, emotion or political considerations. All those who are arguing about ‘status quo ante bellum’ are dispensing their time and energy chasing shadows and not the substance. This is because whether INEC recognises either faction for now is irrelevant: what is relevant is that there is a challenge regarding the take-over of the Party pending in court by a duly elected Deputy National Chairman. As long as that case remains in court, all the actions of either faction MAY end up being nugatory AFTER the deadline for nominations of candidates by INEC. The implication is that the ADC may end up having NO CANDIDATE for the election. Therefore, instead of vilifying INEC, the ADC should rather thank INEC for this timely action of de-recognising both factions BEFORE the close of the window for nominating candidates. It has duly forewarned the Party of the danger ahead and opened a window for them to either find a new, risk-free platform or ask for accelerated hearing of the case in court, or politically settle the leadership question in the Party quickly. To keep blaming imaginary opponents or INEC is purely mischievous: neither APC nor INEC prodded these grown adults and supposedly ‘experienced’ politicians to go and hijack an existing platform without sound legal advice and without properly sorting out every member of the leadership of that existing platform. They say they will proceed with their congresses and Convention despite INEC’s decision and the ruling of the Court of Appeal. That is fine by us. NEVER INTERRUPT YOUR OPPONENT WHEN HE IS MAKING A MISTAKE.

I just finished watching INEC chairman interview on Arise, he said he just followed court order regarding the recognition of ADC leadership , which state everything should go status quo ante bellum, which meany going back to status before war. And he said he went back to 2nd September which was the day the war began. Now the question is who was chairman before 2nd September? David Mark was Appointed ADC chairman by the ADC NEC on 2nd July which means the status quo ante bellum chairman is David Mark. Everything points to a biased Amupitan.

ADC: INEC's Violation of Appeal Court's Directive is Criminal and Contemptuous - Abdullahi At the time the coalition joined ADC, Nafiu Gombe had resigned his position as one of the six Deputy Chairmen of the party on May 17th, and INEC was duly notified. On August 12th, 2025, INEC received notice of this resignation. 2027: INEC TO SET NIGERIA ON FIRE? I have said it times without number that in a Banana Republic like Nigeria, you must meet the madness of the Bola Tinubu led ruling APC with madness. Section 83(1)(2)(3)(4)(5)(6) of the 2026 Electoral Act is very clear on the role of INEC in the monitoring of political parties in Nigeria. Section 83(5) categorically stated that "no court in Nigeria shall entertain jurisdiction over any suit or matter pertaining to the internal affairs of a political party." Section 83(6) categorically states that "where such action is brought before a court contrary to the provisions of this section, no interim or interlocutary injuction shall be entertained by the court..." Against this backdrop, INEC has no power whatsoever to delete the names of the David Mark led ADC leadership from its website. The courts should never have entertained the suit brought before it by one Nafiu Bala. Even when the court does as it did, the hearing must be accelerated, and there must be no interim or interlocutory injuctions.

Nafiu Bala resigned like any other member of the former ADC NWC that made way for new NWC under the leadership of Gen David Mark. Apparently Nafiu is now being used by APC to destabilise the party using court and INEC.

Josh Amupitan is worse than Prof Yakubu Mahmood. Without a court order, INEC, which recognised the leadership of ADC, suddenly withdrew recognition for ADC. INEC, under Amupitan, has finally proved that it is a department of APC, and if nothing is done immediately, democracy has finally come to an end in Nigeria.
