I have personally reached out to my brother @seunokin not to take Wike's threat to his life on national tv, lightly. Seun must immediately ask his lawyers to petition the Director-General of @OfficialDSSNG and IGP @TunjiDisu1 to invite Wike for questioning to clarify his statement to 86 Seun for warning that Nigeria must not be morphed into a one-party state by the Bola Tinubu regime.

PRESS RELEASE   Wike’s Violent Rhetoric Exposes Tinubu Administration’s Descent into Authoritarianism The Atiku Media Office condemns, in the most forceful and unequivocal terms, the disgraceful and dangerous threat issued by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, against frontline journalist and broadcaster, Seun Okinbaloye. For a serving minister of the Federal Republic to publicly declare, on live television, that he wished to shoot a journalist over a professional opinion is not just reckless—it is a chilling signal of how far this government has descended into intolerance, lawlessness, and naked abuse of power. This was not a joke. It was not banter. It was a threat—clear, direct, and deeply sinister. Let Nigerians be under no illusion: when those entrusted with authority begin to speak the language of violence against the press, democracy itself is under attack. Minister Wike’s outburst is not an isolated slip. It is a symptom of a broader, more dangerous pattern under the administration of Bola Tinubu—a pattern where dissent is criminalised, criticism is met with hostility, and intimidation has become the default language of governance. In sane democracies, such a statement would trigger immediate resignation or dismissal. In today’s Nigeria, it is becoming frighteningly routine. What crime did Mr. Okinbaloye commit? He dared to warn against the creeping danger of a one-party state. For this, a minister of the republic responded not with reason, but with a threat of violence. Nothing captures the current state of governance more starkly. This is how democracies die—not only through stolen mandates or weakened institutions, but through the gradual normalisation of threats, fear, and the silencing of independent voices. We must ask: if a prominent journalist can be threatened so brazenly on national television, what protection exists for the ordinary Nigerian? The Atiku Media Office states, without equivocation, that this reckless conduct is unacceptable and must not be allowed to stand. We therefore demand the following: *An immediate and unconditional public apology from Nyesom Wike to Seun Okinbaloye and the entire Nigerian media community. *A clear and public repudiation of this dangerous rhetoric by the administration of Bola Tinubu. *Concrete assurances for the safety and protection of journalists across Nigeria. Anything short of this will confirm what many Nigerians already fear—that this government is not merely intolerant of dissent, but increasingly comfortable with the language and instruments of repression. Nigeria will not be bullied into silence. The press will not be cowed, and truth will not be silenced by threats, no matter how powerful or highly placed those behind them. Signed: Atiku Media Office Abuja April 4, 2026.

@StartArchiving I see what you guys did in this piece. Only Bola Tinubu condemned Ameh Ebute's arrest by the Abacha junta? Also, tell the part where the same Tinubu was Nicodemusly hobnobbing with the Abacha junta at night to betray his political mentor and boss, MKO Abiola.

In mid-May 1994, the newly formed pro-democracy group, the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO), issued an ultimatum to General Sani Abacha: resign as head of state before May 31. Abacha did not budge. Instead, his top security officials recommended a crackdown on politicians protesting the regime. According to a June 1994 feature story by Newswatch: ▶️ One of the first targets was Ameh Ebute, a former Senate president, who was arrested in June after announcing that the Senate, already proscribed by Abacha, would reconvene. ▶️ In a press release on behalf of dozens of senators, he declared the regime illegal and demanded recognition of the June 12 election, with MKO Abiola as the presumed winner. Although he said the declaration was not formally tied to NADECO, he admitted their goals aligned. ▶️ Following the NADECO ultimatum, the military and police went on high alert, fearing that ordinary Nigerians would heed the call to oppose the regime. ▶️ Civilians were ordered out of military barracks, and Inspector-General Ibrahim Coomassie warned that any attempt to confront the military or form a parallel government would be treated as treason. ▶️ In its early days, NADECO’s lack of central organisation was seen as a weakness. State branches were not fully established for grassroots mobilisation, and the group relied heavily on the personal resources of its members. Internal tensions also surfaced, including concerns from some members over an Abiola presidency. ▶️ The government moved to weaken the coalition. An unnamed federal minister reportedly boasted that the regime would use financial inducements to divide members and carry out “mass arrests and destroy the opposition.” ▶️ Senator Bola Tinubu reacted to Ebute’s arrest with concern, questioning whether Nigerians still had the right to meet and discuss. He said, “The way forward is very clear. Abacha must resign. Enough is enough of the military. There will be confrontation with the military. If that is what will solve the country’s problems, we’re ready for it.” ▶️ In the years that followed, the standoff between the military government and NADECO escalated, with many pro-democracy leaders imprisoned or forced into exile.

Wike's Threats To Life: Seun Okin Must Petition DSS DG and IGP Now! Even though we do not share the same political ideologies, especially since 2015, when @seunokin Nicodemusly supported the Muhammadu Buhari candidacy, I have personally reached out to him on the urgent steps to take regarding the viral statement made by Minister Nyesom Wike in his recent media parley with some select journalists and editors. In the interview posted here, Wike boasted that he would have shot Seun if he was at close range for saying that the Bola Tinubu led APC regime is trying to morph Nigeria into a one-party state. This threat to life must not be taken lightly. I hereby enjoin Seun to ask his lawyers to immediately petition the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to invite Wike for questionings. Wike needs to clarify what he meant by his threats of shooting Seun Okinbaloye if he was at close range?

2027: Warning To Bola Ahmed Tinubu Amid Bola Tinubu's dictatorial machinations to destabilize opposition parties in Nigeria, thereby morphing Nigeria into a one-party state ahead of 2027, this is hereby cautioning him that the only all-powerful and omnipotent being is God Almighty. In the nick of time, Bola Tinubu's wings will be clipped just like other machine politics politicians and godfathers before him. Just like Tom Pendergast, the then Supreme Ayatollah of politics in Kansas City, Missouri, and godfather to President Harry Truman, those who have Bola Tinubu’s ears should pass this message to him that nothing lasts forever. Nigeria's former Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) Bello Adoke saved him from going to prison in 2011, when it was uncovered that he operated foreign bank accounts in his name as Governor of Lagos State, in violation of Section 7 of the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act. Tinubu may not be lucky this time around owing to his leaked plans to set Nigeria on fire ahead of 2027, having seen that he would fairly lose the 2027 presidential election billed for January 16, 2027. Those who have ears should listen - Revelation 3 vs. 6

As inferred by Al Mustapha, Tinubu was one of those in the inner circle of MKO Abiola who sold him out to Gen. Sanni Abacha. The same man used the June 12/NADECO struggle to hoodwink unsuspecting Lagosians to become Governor in 1999, and had for almost 27 years become the Supreme Ayatollah of Lagos politics. Nobody becomes even a local government councilor in Lagos without kissing Bola's ring. This is nothing but what we call Machine Politics in Politics 101. Bola's machine politics reminds ardent students of contemporary American politics and history of machine politics godfathers like Tom Pendergast, the powerful Democratic boss of Kansas City, Missouri, who was the political godfather of Harry Truman. Like Tinubu in Lagos politics, Pendergast was the Supreme Ayatollah in the politics of Kansas City, Missouri. But Pendergast didn't end well. The @FBI clipped his wings when he became too powerful.

Peter Obi Right: Bola Tinubu Is A Fake Democrat! All that Nigerians of voting age need to know about Bola Ahmed Tinubu's anti-democratic credentials have been exhumed by ardent students of contemporary Nigerian history and politics in 2022/2023. Save for new voters who just turned 18 ahead of next year's general elections, I would have said that it is tantamount to overflogging the de*d horse for the main opposition ADC to religiously sermonize over those same issues. I will recommend some more potent political strategies for leaders of the ADC to adopt in their bid to upend this tragedy that has befallen Nigeria since 2023. Howbeit, on the NADECO struggle and Tinubu's anti-democratic credentials, which H.E. @PeterObi spoke of that has continued to rattle Bola's lapdogs, let me say this: In March 2016, Al Mustapha told (us) some select journalists and editors in Lagos that Abiola and Abacha were very good friends before some fifth columnists caused disaffection between them. Al Mustapha revealed that when Chief MKO Abiola was in prison, many notable Yoruba leaders visited him. They will visit him (MKO Abiola) in the morning, and when they come back to the Villa in the evening to see Abacha, they would say a different thing entirely. But unknown to these notable Yoruba leaders who visited Abiola, their visits were recorded on video. Al Mustapha said he recorded the videos of their visits to Abiola and Abacha without their knowledge. Guess who also played sneaky games with his political mentor and godfather?

During yesterday’s ADC world press conference, one detail stood out from the seating arrangement: 2. Atiku Abubakar and Rotimi Amaechi were positioned together on one side. 3. Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso sat closely at the other end. 4. Could this be a subtle signal of a potential alliance configuration ahead of the ADC primaries? 5. It arguably should not be so, given that an Atiku–Obi ticket has already been tested and is result-oriented. 6. In the 2019 presidential election, the joint ticket of Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi secured 17 states and the Federal Capital Territory. 7. Running separately in 2023, Atiku and Obi delivered 12 and 11 states, respectively. Showing individual electoral weight. 8. The ADC risks diluting its competitive edge if it experiments with unfamiliar pairings such as Atiku–Amaechi or Obi–Kwankwaso. 9. Its strongest path to political viability across states and possible victory at the center lies in consolidating the proven electoral synergy of an Atiku–Peter Obi ticket.

In 2025, the Aviation Ministry proposed a budget of N71.1 billion, with capital appropriation gulping a whopping N69.2 billion. This 2026, the ministry has proposed a budget of ₦184.39 billion. This is a serious public safety crisis one expects Minister @fkeyamo to pay attention to. One also expects the @officialEFCC and @icpcnigeria to religiously follow these appropriations to ensure they are used for what they are intended for.

Let's talk about lights in some of our major airports. Shall we? As of 27th March 2026, none of the taxiway lights in Port Harcourt International Airport is working. As of 27th March 2026, none of the taxiway lights (Taxiway Charlie, Runway 18L) in MM International Airport Ikeja Lagos is working. Last time I departed Abuja at night, the majority of the taxiway lights weren't working. Aircraft had to depend solely on their searchlight/landing lights to see the taxiway. We have a lot to fix in our aviation.

In a related development, since human wants are insatiable, I am also a firm believer of the Big Stick Diplomacy, also known as the Carrot-stick diplomacy. Reaching out to Nafiu Bala Gombe, among other litigants to tow the line of peace, is also one open option for the David Mark led ADC leadership. Politics is like a chess game. You must harness all cards on the table for a successful outing.

Addendum In an exclusive interview with Arise TV, the teleguided INEC Chairman, 'Professor' Joash Ojo Amupitan boasted that even if the ADC wins the 2027 Presidential Election, it will be met with the 'Zamfara Treatment,' where the party that came second and its candidates will be declared winner. This is a recipe for anarchy in Nigeria. In subsequent pieces, I will enlighten Nigerians on what the Bola Tinubu regime is planning should it lose the 2027 presidential election. Howbeit, the best route at this auspicious moment is for the David Mark led ADC leadership to immediately return to the Justice Emeka Nwite's Federal High Court in Abuja, asking the Court to summarily dismiss the Ex Parte motion instituted by Nafiu Bala Gombe, in line with relevant rulings of the Supreme Court and particularly, Section 83(5) of the Electoral Act 2026. I have personally reached out to several ADC leaders to do the needful as soon as possible. If they don't, we shall begin to read their actions as self sabotage to continue to foist Bola Tinubu on millions of hapless Nigerians.

It's not yet uhuru. Going back to Justice Emeka Nwite's Federal High Court in Abuja is the best route. Section 83(5) of the Electoral Act 2026 is very conspicuous, like the North Star that "No court in Nigeria shall entertain jurisdiction over any suit or matter pertaining to the internal affairs of a political party."

I am not interested in any conference the ADC held or will hold. Let's be updated on the status of the cases in court. Are you appealing the court of Appeal's decision to the supreme court? Are you going back to the Federal High Court for the accelerated hearing? Are you taking INEC to court for the interpretation of Status quo ante bellum? All these media and noise will not save the party. Let's go to the root of the issue.
