I’d say it takes an elite coach to make a Brazil international from the Joelinton he inherited. Or to make England players from uncapped Burn, Gordon, Hall & Livramento. Isak’s improvement. Murphy being the player he was last season. Taking a team from 19th to 4th in 18 months…

This is where Eddie Howe falls down slightly in my opinion. He is undoubtedly a brilliant Coach at developing players. His Managerial ability and in game management it what lets him down #NUFC

@TheIrishMagpie I'll give Howe the summer to reflect and hopefully let the board make the signings. Howe has to be able to adapt. I think the board will expect a strong start to next season and will act swiftly if things don't change or go tits up. I think they have a plan

Regardless of your opinion on Eddie Howe, the fact is that he has failed massively this season. His recruitment, man-managment, and tactics have been a disaster. If the club are sticking with him, I'm ok with it. But only if Howe uses the failings of this season to VASTLY improve. He needs technically minded players who can play possession football as well as maintaining the aggressive style to win it back. Howe has had more good than bad during his time in Newcastle, but this is now the fork in the road. He will need to write off this season and find a way to make the next one successful. Can he do it? Will he have the support? #Nufc

If the club truly backs Eddie Howe the they should say it publicly. Dragging this out only fuels uncertainty, especially with tough games still to come. Draw a line under it, shift focus to the summer, and move forward together. Clarity now helps everyone. #NUFC
