@mrmujac I was there and have no objection to paying £10 admission fee. What I do object to is the Club only allowing permit holders to park in the car parks at the ground. There were plenty of available spaces and some of the car parks were manned at the gates.

@SwedishRumble Ferguson was the master of squad rotation. But United often won titles with 80-85 points. Guardiola and Klopp changed that with their teams capable of getting 100 points. But, I agree with your point, effective rotation of a capable squad has to be done.

We are seeing how PL teams are tired in Europe -- but it is just as clear in the PL. There is a huge drop off for teams, after City and Arsenal, depending on whether they are playing in Europe or not. 🔺I've commented on this in the past -- the way this is heading, clubs must adjust significantly. Top managers in the PL do not rotate their teams. We complain on the schedule, FIFA, UEFA, the FA. Reality is that it is completely unrealistic to expect the schedule to be reduced with more than 1-2 games per season. Even if it was reduced with 8 games -- teams would still have similar issues. 🔺It is really quite simple. A manager does not rotate his team, because the only way to compete at the absolute top has been for managers like Mourinho, Klopp and Pep to play almost the same XI every single game, and pray for everyone to stay healthy. If 3-4 managers try the same thing, one of them will get lucky and have a healthy squad, and win the title. But is this the case anymore? Teams winning the PL have gone from getting 100 pts to what, 80-85 pts nowadays. Especially with the CWC and in World Cup seasons, I am not sure if the best alternative anymore is to have the strategy to play your core players till they drop and hope for the best. When you pull up the stats for any top PL team, its the same. Below is Arsenal who have shown so many signs of being very tired lately. Add 6-7 games for country. It is too much. But there are plenty of players who could have played a lot more without coming close to a threshold where they would be "tired". 🔺A discussion must also be had if it is enough to rotate the squad. To be clear -- I am just wondering if a team like City or Arsenal would do better if they set up internal rules and simply left players at home in accordance with more or less a pre determined schedule. Take someone like Timber, give him three 1 week periods off during a season. He would have 2,900 minutes instead of 3,270 minutes. Ben White would have 370 minutes more.

This is the advantages top teams in the other European Leagues have over Prem sides. Lesser standard of comp on weekends, winter break, organised postponements and prioritise UCL with team selections/resting.

@StatmanDave I saw his Leipzig team lose 5-0 to a United team managed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in a Champions League match at Old Trafford. So, no thanks.

Born in Bernardo de Irigoyen, Argentina, 22nd February 1987, Sergio Romero. Goalkeeper signed from Sampdoria in 2015, he was a fantastic understudy to David De Gea. Won the Europa League with United in 2017, but was badly treated by Ole at the end, and was frozen out of the 1st team, with his contract expiring in 2021. #MUFC #UTFR #GGMU #ManchesterUnited #ManUtd #ManUnited
