Cancer update. Poking over. Treatment starts! Now: PICC line insert. Then chemo and immuno drugs begin ("tough" say the docs). I'm wearing my Disraeli Gears hoodie, multi-hueded Dongeal tweed lid, and acid green shirt. Not Psychedia v Chemo... Psych *helping* the Drugs! 💚✊️💊

Manuel Ugarte is unhappy at #mufc due to his limited game time and feels undervalued. It’s increasingly likely he will leave this summer if the right offer arrives [@SullyTalkz]

@afneil @GMB Kemi is more than capable of holding her own even though she was 'ambushed' by Martin Lewis....what a coincidence him just being in the wings....Ed Balls is an embarrassment with his rude, interrupting style - asks a question and then interrupts before the answer is part del'd

Kemi Badenoch was able to handle herself but this three-to-one pile on should never have been allowed by @GMB. The presenters should have intervened. And just who the hell does Martin Lewis think he is?
Kate Ferguson@kateferguson4

Martin Lewis coming across awfully here. Ed Balls also looks terrible. Kemi is the leader of the Opposition. You guys might think you know better than her (they clearly do think this) but if you invite her on your programme at least let her explain her policy.

Born in Chorlton-Cum-Hardy, 21st February 1880, Jack Fitchett. Originally signed from Bolton Wanderers in 1902, he didn’t play a first team game before leaving for Southampton. Re-signed in 1903 he then joined Plymouth later that year and was re-signed again in 1904, but left for good in 1906. Over his three stints with United, he played 18 games scoring once. Jack passed away 1st November 1942. #MUFC #UTFR #GGMU #ManUtd #ManchesterUnited #ManUnited

19th February 1958, Caretaker Manager Jimmy Murphy signs Stan Crowther from Aston Villa just in time to make kick off of that evenings FA Cup match v Sheffield Wednesday. The first game after the disaster at Munich. Crowther would normally have been cup tied but was given emergency clearance by the FA to play in the match. #MUFC #UTFR #GGMU #ManchesterUnited #ManUtd #ManUnited

@MalcolmJR13 @utdreport Not Shaw's fault !! - he totally failed to do the basics + we have needed two proper full backs i.e. those that cannot defend and attack when required for some time.....

@utdreport It’s not Shaw’s fault! There was a phase after that. Mainoo and Martinez are at fault. Mainoo should have been aware of his surroundings. But he’s generally bad at defending.

@paulenglish1961 Just like '57 - we were cheated by two awful decisions McParland breaking Woods jaw with a 'shoulder charge' & Lofthouse' s similar illegal challenge on Gregg - my mum, who was always right, told me about this from being a toddler...can't disagree with your mother..RIP x

Was looking through one of my old scrapbooks earlier, and came across this picture of the Bolton Wanderers coach on its 1958 FA Cup victory parade, being pelted with rotten fruit and vegetables by disgruntled Manchester United fans. #MUFC #UTFR #GGMU #ManUtd #ManchesterUnited #ManUnited

@NoFarmsNoFoods @Ashby1Barry Like any 'business', the country's greatest assets are it's people - the majority of which you have dumped on from a great height with your ludicrous ' management' of the economy - more and more borrowing, so greater national debt, requiring more taxes to pay for it....shameful !

Steve Holland is a shrewd appointment as assistant to Michael Carrick, Manchester United’s interim head coach. He's a very good coach. Anyone who's watched Holland oversee a meticulously-prepared training session knows he’s innovative, makes sessions enjoyable and also that he’s very demanding. He talks a lot about the importance of players "transferring" details, drills and patterns of play etc more easily into games through very game-focused training. Pragmatist. He brings 33 years of coaching experience, and a different voice (like Jonathan Woodgate) to other coaches like Jonny Evans and Travis Binnion – and Carrick himself - with United in their CV and DNA. He's used to dealing with pressure and egos. He’s tough, you wouldn’t want to cross Holland, got a steely, challenging look in his eye. He’ll demand total concentration in training. He reportedly made a “barbed comment” towards Ben White at England training in Qatar 2022 over not being similarly obsessed with football. Story disputed but White returned home and hasn't played for England since. There’s no doubt about Holland’s own obsession with football. He’s not had an easy path to the top. Injured young at Derby, began coaching at 22, Pro Licence at 27. Spent 17 years at Crewe, a spell at Stoke then 8 years at Chelsea. Worked under Ancelotti, Di Matteo, Benitez, Mourinho, Hiddink and Conte. Won CL and 2x titles. Learned Spanish, very popular in dressing-room, and Fabregas hailed his “meticulous coaching brain”. Also praised for his role helping Di Matteo and Eddie Newton devise the counter-attacking game-plan to frustrate Bayern in 2012 CL final. Benitez and Mourinho both brought in own staff – but kept on the highly-regarded Holland. Chelsea sad to lose Holland to England and at their end of season dinner in 2017 presented him with designer luggage for his travels. Assisted Gareth Southgate with England Under-21s and then seniors, helping them reach 2x Euro finals & 1x World Cup semi. Southgate always modestly said Holland’s “strengths” made up for his own “weaknesses”. (Holland's appointment does not mean Southgate's going to United in the summer). Holland praised for his England work helping young players settle in and develop. Liked by players, respected for his training, admire his focus that everything's about "winning". He’s not a No 1; lasted only 4 months at Yokohama F Marinos (1 win out of 11 league). Holland’s an outstanding No 2. Intelligent appointment. Good luck to Steve (pictured at last Euros below).

I may well have missed something here but ... a) Is it true that the players are not returning to training until Wednesday? b) If A is true, then why the fuck is this happening?

@utdreport How on earth has Dalot been at the club for 8 years ..totally lacking in any defensive intelligence or ability...I think I could go past him and I'm 72...I despair at times - playing right back isn't the hardest job in the world he makes G Neville look like Cafu !
