@LilithPoker Why do u compare it to a sport. U don’t make money from having fans. It’s a gambling game. U need new players entering the pool and u can’t have the people running the game take to much money.

Disagree! Though I had an overall bad year 2025, there is not even one SUMMER since I've started playing full-time that I've been down (not so humble brag 😎). Study half a year rigorously and then spend five minutes in any live MTT and you KNOW poker is quite alive. Maybe you just need to get better at it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'll acknowledge that it's harder than it used to be, but it's not difficult to have an edge that more than compensates for up to 15% rake. The same applies to online poker. I might be an elitist bitch, but just because SOME don't beat the game doesn't mean it's unbeatable. It's too easy to blame failure or hardship on external circumstances instead of doing the work. Other sports have evolved, too. The most skilled soccer players of 30 years ago at their prime would not stand a chance against those of today, yet you still see people succeed. OGs like Negreanu and Hellmuth, who have stayed on top of the game, still claim their wins. It's the same players over a period of a few years who are continuously taking FT spots and raking in the $$$ and trophies. Poker continues to be a sport, an art, a craft, that rewards a mix of intelligence, effort, and resilience, even if the parameters have changed. Regarding the player pool, numbers for e.g. the WSOP ME have only been increasing. The only years they tapered off was during Covid and now when the economy is suffering (exacerbated by the fact that those have been the years with Trump in charge, who, objectively, is not very popular especially internationally). If you watch this video and feel RELIEF, you know you are looking for a bandage. Downswings suck terribly and you need to trust in the law of large numbers, but don't fear the challenge, grow with it!
Table 1 Vegas@Table1Vegas

Now that 90% of us lost money this summer in MTTs the question on our mind is a simple one. Is poker dying?

True. It doesn't feel this way because inflation falling doesn't mean prices go back to normal, it means prices stop going up as much. An issue the administration hasn't done a good job of explaining.
Tyler Bowyer@tylerbowyer

The consumer price index rose over 20% under Biden. One of the biggest leaps in American history Trump just got inflation down in less than a year and half to sub 3%. Katie Hobbs is destroying AZ right now by vetoing everything that would save Arizonans money.

For young men, the most important issue is the ability to get a job and make enough money to support a family. For young women, the main issue is to be able to kill their baby. How and when did women become so retarded?

No one ever got banned from YouTube for calling Epstein Mossad. That's one of many reasons it was a red herring. You have to look up (or down, depending on your view on the supernatural) to find the truth. We are up against ancient entities. Of course Jesus said this first.
Cernovich@Cernovich

My own belief, which I've said many times, is that there's a structure outside of what we see. Trillionaires. Ancient ones, not Elon and his stock. Sovereign wealth behind our comprehension. They let "Mossad" take the heat, it's a shell game. The real power is unseen.

JD is right on Epstein. The CIA would not have let Mossad (whatever that even means these days, as a black ops unit wouldn't have a name we know) run an op like that on their own. Also Epstein had a Saudi passport. It was clearly a joint op expanding across sovereign wealth.

New York City Mayor Mamdani just gave one of the most amazing speeches you will ever hear: "We are told that America is exceptional because we are richer, stronger, and more powerful than everyone else. "The truth, my friends, is that America is exceptional because here, nothing is fixed into place. The frontier may be closed. We may have walked on the moon. But the work of fulfilling the values first enshrined in the Declaration of Independence — that work endures, and it belongs to us all. "It belongs, too, to our newest Americans: those standing here with me today, all of whom were recently naturalized. Nearly a decade ago, I, too, felt what you feel: the joy of no longer being just a New Yorker, but an American, too. "You each hold a special power: the power to determine what America means. "The powerful have always known their answer. America, in their view, is an arena of supremacy where only a select few are allowed freedom; where not all are created equal. America, if you ask them, becomes less the more people it welcomes. America, they will tell you, belongs only to those with the right accent or the right shade of skin. The rest of us, they insist, should be grateful for merely being allowed to visit. "How small they are. How weak. How unoriginal. "At every moment in our past, those who led through exclusion and isolation have tried to win power and enrich themselves by turning us against one another. Division is the oldest trick in politics — and the cheapest. "But time and again, including 250 years ago, those forces of division have been vanquished by the forces of progress."

Very revealing what Megyn Kelly intentionally leaves out of her Haitian analysis . Kelly pretends the problem is some inherent flaw in Haitian “culture” or lack of “work ethic.” In reality, the conditions forcing people to flee — extreme poverty, gang violence fueled by desperation, collapsed institutions — are the direct legacy of U.S.-backed coups, economic warfare, and neocolonial policies designed to keep Haiti weak, dependent, and a source of exploitable labor. Direct U.S. interventions destroyed their ability to build a decent life at home. Demanding they “go back” to the ruins those policies helped engineer is pure hypocrisy. The desperation isn’t innate — it was manufactured by the very powerful economic forces and U.S. government coups Kelly refuses to acknowledge. When Jean-Bertrand Aristide — Haiti’s first democratically elected president, backed by the poor and working masses — took office, his government immediately moved to double the minimum wage, mobilize the poor, bolster healthcare and education, foster neighborhood truces, and hold paramilitaries accountable. These pro-worker steps threatened the sweatshop owners and foreign interests profiting from starvation wages. The U.S. responded with economic sabotage and a violent coup. A classified diplomatic cable obtained by The Grayzone reveals veteran CIA operative Janice L. Elmore (operating under State Department cover) meeting coup plotters and disloyal police in Gonaïves right before a strategic 2002 jailbreak that freed paramilitaries and set the 2004 overthrow in motion. The Bush administration, through the U.S. government-funded International Republican Institute, trained and unified Aristide’s opponents, encouraged them to reject power-sharing, imposed crippling sanctions that froze loans and aid, and ultimately backed the coup that ousted Aristide on February 29, 2004. Post-coup, the price of rice — the staple food for Haiti’s poor — more than doubled in months. Looting, chaos, starvation risks, mass layoffs, and paramilitary violence followed. Regime change delivered exactly what the poor had feared: more misery. This fits a longer pattern. Under Bill Clinton, the U.S. slashed tariffs on subsidized American rice, flooding Haiti and wiping out local rice farmers. Clinton himself later admitted: “It may have been good for some of my farmers in Arkansas, but it has not worked. It was a mistake.” The result was the destruction of Haitian agriculture and forced dependence on low-wage factory jobs. Wikileaks cables show U.S. officials and contractors for major American brands actively pressured Haitian governments against even modest minimum wage increases — opposing a rise from 24 cents to 61 cents an hour as supposedly not reflecting “economic reality.” Aristide’s earlier wage hikes were sabotaged for the same reason: protecting cheap labor for U.S. corporate interests.

I wanted to alert everyone to the fact that Jack Binion Steak in Horseshoe is now the best value restaurant near the WSOP. A few days ago, I had a (good) ribeye steak and one side for $60 + tax. While not cheap, this was by far the best restaurant value at center strip.
