Today's VRA decision is intellectually dishonest and wrong. The conservatives basically said: Black people can vote for their preferred candidates, as long as they prefer the right candidates -- which will be Republicans. An absolutely mockery of the law and stain on the court.

The good news is that such setbacks can be overcome. But that will only happen if citizens across the country who cherish our democratic ideals continue to mobilize and vote in record numbers - not just in the upcoming midterms or in high profile races, but in every election and every level.

ok. This is VERY unusual Republican State Rep Beau Baird takes an amendment (#27) for SB 277. State Rep Miller says it is "integral" to the bill, but he nor Baird explain what the amendment is about. Democrat State Rep @Maureen4Indiana , rightfully, asks to explain the amendment after it was voted on but Beau says it will be explained with the Bill. State Rep Hunter Smith was the only Republican to vote NO on the amendment. Funny that Craig Haggard voted yes on it.
