BREAKING: President Trump is considering a plan to "punish" some NATO countries by moving US troops out of countries which he deemed "unhelpful" to the Iran War, per WSJ. Details include: 1. The proposal would involve moving US troops from "unhelpful" countries and into countries who were "more supportive" of the Iran War 2. The plan is early in conception and one of several the White House is discussing to punish NATO 3. The US currently has around 84,000 troops stationed across Europe 4. Countries that could benefit because they are viewed as supportive include Poland, Romania, Lithuania, and Greece, US officials said US-NATO relations appear to be degrading.

@dotkrueger Susskind is great. But he is constrained to our current understanding of physics, and its entailments. Could be there will be a paradigm-shifting discovery down the road that changes things. Who knows when that'll be, though, if ever.

We're not going to travel beyond the solar system, according to Leonard Susskind. And neither are aliens, coming to visit us.
We may not be alone, but we are stuck here for, essentially forever.
1. The nearest star is 4.24 light years away. The fastest spacecraft ever built would require 6,600 years to get there.
2. Surely we can just build faster spacecraft. The problem is to get to anywhere close to the speed of light, we need exponentially more energy.
3. Chemical rockets will just not work. Even fusion rockets won't work. Even 10% of the speed of light is not achievable. The Tsiolkovsky Rocket Equation prevents it.
4. Interstellar dust becomes hand grenades when traveling anywhere close to the speed of light. Ships break.
5. Space radiation will kill us over the time need to travel interstellar distances. Impossible to protect without massive shields, which require massive energy to accelerate and de-accelerate.

@TheBrancaShow What do you think will happen to the U.S. $ if Europe offloads its bonds on America's debt? That would be catastrophic and end the $, so I don't see how we can destroy Europe as you claim without hurting ourselves.

Considering the discussion on my feed for the last day, this is funny. Embarrassing for England, but funny for the rest of us.
I already saw people whining how America had to repair a carrier because of a dryer fire so we're the same, but unlike England we've got spares. They've got a paper navy and in an emergency it takes them a month to send out one destroyer.

I guess we'll see how this goes. Already the usual pundits are debating between TACO Tuesday and it's all fake. The fact that all these folks refuse to even consider that it may be real, and both sides have been posturing while talks go on, is baffling.
Y'all do know Trump was heavy into wrestling and kayfabe, and that saving face is really important in that area of the world, right?
