@baldoholdings Welcome back to X Dan! Looking forward to reading and continuing to investing with you! Cheers to 2026!

I’ve admittedly been MIA on X for last little while, which I intend to change.
When I started posting within the retwit community, I grew enamored with following knowledgeable investors, from many different niches all over the world, sharing their knowledge FOR FREE.
I learned quickly that not only did I have a lot of information to share, I also had a lot of information to learn.
This led to me actively posting my story and connecting with likeminded people, allowing me to create real relationships with real estate professionals whom I still keep contact with to this day and subsequently growing my following because of this.
I’m returning to this platform to actively post with an intention to share my story from the beginning, share my general sentiment on the real estate market as I see it, answer any questions as candidly as possible for people interested in real estate investing and my personal investments, and most importantly share what I’ve been up to in the last 2 years.
Although, I haven’t been posting much. I’ve been very active as an investor (which may be hard to believe given how bearish people are on the market…I guess you can say going against the grain has worked well for me thus far).
Just to provide some context, in the last 2 years I’ve purchased developmental dream land with frontage on Lake Muskoka that I was able to successfully subdivide into 4 total lots, a lodge on Lake Muskoka that I’ve further developed into 12 boutique short term rentals, a boutique 5-unit hotel in Niagara Falls, a 4-plex that I am in midst of sub-dividing into 4 total lots, two developmental residential lots, all while undergoing never-ending planning applications on existing land that I already own within my personal portfolio that provides promising further development potential.
Not to mention, I’m currently scheduled to close in February on my most exciting investment to date 👀…while also asset managing a portfolio of roughly 100 short term and long term rentals.
I’ve got a lot to share and my intentions are to be transparent and show the whole process from underwriting, to financing, to operations, to cash flow, and how you could start as well. I’ll also be sharing insane land-lording stories that you’ll find hard to believe.
I started actively investing 15 years ago with the help of my father from a portfolio of three residential houses and I’ve turned it into 150 units and counting.
I’ve learned everything I know about real estate from people much smarter than I am and my goal is simple, to help impart this knowledge on others.
Ask, and you shall receive 🎯

An example of how horribly wrong custom built semi projects can go if you’re not a capable financier/operator.
Key word: capable.
Important to surround yourselves around winners.
Don’t take success for granted.

@Thefrugalgay11 Looks great. I’d prefer more clean lines without the ropes, but that’s just personal preference. Good job!

How I sold a property that had been listed with 3 other brokers and sat vacant for years
After listing the property, I noticed that most tenants/buyers loved the building but couldn’t load 53’ semi trucks
The old dock in front was too low and a semi would stick out in the street
Here’s what I did,
I got a bid from a GC for a modern dock to be built off the side of the building
When an AC distributor came to look at the building they said, nope the dock won’t work
So I presented the 50k bid to them
They closed on the property 30 days later
Seller got her money, I made mine, buyer got the building and the GC got the work
Win, win, win, win

Don’t have money and want to get into real estate? I’ll show you how 👀 I created a financial literacy scenario for two of my good buddies and asked the below question, “I own the land. I want you as partner. After reading, are you in?” Tell me YOUR responses! Thread 1/9👇
