This morning we found out the PLL was named in @SBJ’s 2025 Best Places to Work in Sports, three years in a row! Over 200 companies were nominated and to qualify to win, 85% of employees had to complete a confidential survey about culture, leadership, and day-to-day experience. These awards don’t happen by luck. Every person who joins our business leaves a lasting imprint as we believe culture is not fixed, it’s something shape together. Paul and I are really proud of this recognition. But mostly we’re proud of the people in the foxhole building it with us every day: our teammates, fans, players, and partners-- you’re the reason this place is what it is. Lastly, here's a quote from an anonymous PLL Teammate that hit home for me: "I have been with the company for over three years now, and I can truly say I’ve never felt more accepted and appreciated than I do at the PLL. Even when I first started as a lower-level employee, I felt valued and upper leadership cared about my input. They always saw me as a person first and employee second."

Perhaps one of the best references I’ve ever received on a job candidate. Good to go.

Whoop has 800 employees today and just announced plans to grow headcount +600 this year. Investing in talent AND ai tools not mutually exclusive. Many of these “AI layoffs” are just companies under performing or lacking a bigger market opportunity.
