We went from De’Zhaun Stribling being the worst reach of the NFL draft all the way to “Stribling is going to beat out Ricky Pearsall”.
Who knows how good Stribling will be, but you guys know he’s going to play about 40 total snaps this year, right?
From the inbox: You'll be able to stream NASCAR O'Reilly Series races this summer as part of a new deal between The CW and ESPN.
ESPN is putting O'Reilly streaming as part of its "ESPN Unlimited" plan. Looks like the current ESPN Unlimited price $29.99/month or $299.99/year.
@Chase_Senior You have a tendency to post only negative comments like you know more then NFL perrsonel who do this for a living, every team has misses in all sports so your hypothesis is ridiculous
THIS IS WHY so many San Francisco 49ers fans are frustrated with the team.
Yes, the 49ers win a lot. Yes, the Niners have ELITE coaching. Yes, the 49ers have had a lot of success.
BUT, imagine how much better the Niners could be if they didn't have so many draft misses and reaches.
They'd be a wagon.

A new survey finds rising costs still dominate Americans’ concerns, with a record share saying their financial situation is getting worse. Here’s what to know. ktvu.com/news/record-nu…
@LombardiHimself Mock drafts mean nothing,if a NFL team drafted like fans and boards want that person would loose there job,David is correct, who cares what sports casters say
Greg Cosell: "It doesn't matter to me what mock drafts say. They don't know what teams' draft boards look like. So in my world, I think mock drafts are totally irrelevant."
Objective analysts don't waste their time with subjective outsider 'consensus'

@957thegame@slubman59@MorningRoast957 This guy's takes are absurd, his negative attitude is ridiculous about everything, he says the draft was terrible and yet none of these young players has stepped one foot on the field,I get it sports talk but come on get a grip
"What the 49ers are doing with Brandon Aiyuk -- you're not getting your way. Give up. Punt. Let him go. Can we please move on? This is ridiculous."
@slubman59 has HAD IT with Brandon Aiyuk, and wants the 49ers to cut him ASAP (via @MorningRoast957)
@AdamSchein Anyone who listens to Adam Schein is desperate for miss information,he hasn't seen one drafted player on the field yet he knows that teams draft was terrible,I guess he knows the future
3rd and De’Zhaun Stribling…
The 49ers have separated very poorly over the past 2 seasons. Struggles connect back to Aiyuk’s ACL tear in Week 7 of 2024. Shanahan’s offense needs a true X to fire as intended.
SF has acquired a lot of firepower to fix the issue. Mike Evans is the key piece at X. A healthy Pearsall has shown to be a good Z. Christian Kirk is a standard F slot. The vision for Stribling figures to start at that F big slot, the spot formerly occupied by Jauan Jennings. The potential ceiling-breaker is that Stribling runs a 4.36 and not a 4.7.
But it’s Evans who will be counted on to be the space generator at X that the 49ers haven’t had in a while. He’ll help Stribling get early opportunities, as will Pearsall. The beauty of the collective is that the F typically avoids the defense’s two best coverage pieces.
The 49ers have a QB who’s made it work with very little recently. If this follows the vision, Brock Purdy will be working with a lot in 2026
@JenSiebelNewsom How can you speak about anything believable when your husband is the biggest fraud, liar there is,I lived through his lies as a native San Franciscan your credibility is in question
My family and I watched the 60 Minutes interview with Donald Trump and Norah O’Donnell last night, and we were shocked. Seeing a president speak to a woman journalist with that level of contempt — and a clear allergy to facts — is disturbing, though at this point not unexpected given his pattern of behavior.
But that is the problem. Because when that level of disrespect from the highest office in the country repeats itself, it starts to trickle down into our culture and define what power looks like, shaping how boys and plenty of men see women and girls and what they come to accept as normal behavior.
Brian Baldinger was asked if people should be concerned with how the 49ers have drafted in the last 5 years:
“I’d be concerned. You have to be concerned after you look at what Seattle is doing in the draft. You look at what the Rams are doing in the draft. The Rams don’t have a first round pick on their offensive line and haven’t the entire time since Sean McVay has been there. They never used a first round pick on one. They trade most of them away… They have struck gold repeatedly. You look at Kyren Williams in the 5th round. Kobie Turner in the 3rd round and Puka [Nacua]. To say that the 49ers are drafting on the same pace that the Rams and Seahawks are, would be crazy. You can’t stretch it like that.”

@jeff_gluck My thought is first way to many commercials and not much action except a big crash not sure what can be done, the car seems to be the problem 🤔
@LombardiHimself David these people who no nothing and keep saying how bad the draft was are clueless considering none of these guys have played a NFL game
The 49ers finished 2024 as the #26 defense, #29 vs the run. They've totally remade their D-line in just 2 drafts since then.
They've followed the Rams' formula we discussed during 2025's cuts: Use the draft (draftees highlighted in gold), not FA. Look at that difference!
@LombardiHimself David your reports are terrific and seem very accurate, nobody knows how these young draft picks will turn out but all the negative crap is ridiculous 🙄
There are 4 key avenues of talent acquisition in the NFL...
1. Draft
2. Free agency
3. Trades
4. Retention
To sustainably field a good roster (as the 49ers have), a team must see at least some level of success across all four.
Here's the kicker: It's impossible to be good at (4) without seeing success at (1). The 49ers have handed out more big re-up contracts than any other NFL team since Shanahan and Lynch took over, and most have been given to *their own draftees* — most famous examples are Kittle, Warner, Purdy.

I am closely monitoring the unfolding situation at the White House Correspondents Dinner. I’m grateful for the quick response of law enforcement and am praying everyone remains safe.
@nwagoner None of you know anything, this guy hasn't even played a down in the NFL so do any of you know what kind of NFL player he is,not much credibility
