Not sure if I ever saw this footage before.
Picture quality a bit grainy but great to see the likes of Giles, Dunphy, Treacy, and of course Robbie Gaffney.

@ConMurphySport If 1977 must have been early season 77/78 & guessing by weather possibly Sept, looking at clips looked like 5k at the game? Limerick were a decent side around this era, won league in 1980 & the cup in 82, that Rovers team would win the cup in 78, possibly Giles only trophy?

@DFCFancast The 8 players who played FD in 2025. 7 of which were with us. This really was a brilliant performance & result. As much as 5th (sat night) is superb. As long as we finish well ahead of relegation worries = Equal successful season. First time back. Then build.

@Michaelshine2 Fans shouldn't have to pay extra for the basics of having adequate toilet facilities. Showgrounds uses portabloos too but there maintained. Charging extra for a roof shouldn't be a scenario either.

Yes the showground aint pretty but you have a roof over your head but this is disgraceful.
Every away fan should be given a refund for having to attend a game with these facilities.

@betweenstripes Don't generally watch non DFC games, but have heard other comms doing likewise, fair commentary is part of the game, no one is interested in home only bias and include our games also. I think @CorriganColm is equally a very fair comm.

@betweenstripes I think a very good attribute is when comms park their dyed in the wool 100% home vibes and offer the viewer total enthusiasm when their side concedes. Examples were @ConMurphySport last min Dundalk equaliser, and to be fair Kieran has done it a few times also on DFC games.
