TypeGraphQL 1.0 🚀 dev.to/michallytek/an… Amazing 2 years spent on filling the gap between TypeScript and GraphQL. Now it's the time for the first stable release. All of this wouldn't be possible without the amazing support from the community and all the sponsors ♥️

This has been years in the making - the official #GraphQL Conf is here! If you attend one conf this year - that's the one! @TheGuildDev has worked hard to make this, an open conf by the whole #GraphQL community, a reality, including being top sponsor to make this event perfect!

I've been continuing to hack on a side project tool that extracts GraphQL schema from TypeScript resolvers statically, and its looking more and more promising. No need to specify the GraphQL types of fields/arguments. The tool infers them from your TS types. TS --> Derived GQL

Are there any libraries that attempt to infer GraphQL schema from TypeScript classes/types statically (rather than at runtime via decorators etc)? I've been hacking on a script to do this. Curious if I'm reinventing to wheel, or headed down a blind alley.

TypeScript helps you avoid type errors in JavaScript, and GraphQL is an alternative to REST APIs. Wouldn't it be great to combine the two? In this article, @iamdillion shows you how to use TypeGraphQL to get the benefits of both in your projects. freecodecamp.org/news/how-to-us…

I’ve been diving head first into @GraphQL the last 2 months or so. I’ve got a few books, read a lot of articles and watched a bunch of videos. Who are the best folks to follow on Twitter/ any blogs or books you recommend about GraphQL.

@PetrHurtak @capajj Decorators are only a temporary solution. The same goals can be achieved with typescript compiler transformers, maybe with a little assist of comments (metadata) to mark a method as query or mutation.

@capajj 2/ I would be little worried about recommending type-graphql, it uses decorators which have been stuck at stage 2 for like 3 years, and they might never become official. Even libraries famous for their adoption are dropping them (MobX)

This looks like pretty nice alternative for GraphQL/REST for building APIs when you have node on client and server. Overall I have also observed that I am using GraphQL less and less on regular apps. You can get most of the benefits with TypeScript+Zod/oi-ts.
