I’ve been quiet for 15 years. Not because I had nothing to say or didn’t see it but because it wasn’t time. Now it is. Your turn to listen. My turn to speak.

I had never taken Mbarara seriously. Every time I came home, I wanted to go back quickly. Now, I don’t want to evacuate the city in haste. The development is vivid. The city is cleaner. Coming from Kla, you breathe fresh air. The people are now dressed well than before. Churches are well built & vibrant, shops well stocked & prices competitive, hotels better managed & schools back to their best. My only worry is about transportation. The taxis & buses lack organization, coordination & respect to travelers. Stories of passengers being clobbered by bus managers or delayed for 6 hours in some city bus companies are many. These managers are feared by the police, & city big wigs for reasons known to them. The NRM government is known for fighting goons like those who harass citizens & bribe officials wantonly. One person was almost killed by officials of a certain bus company. Surprisingly, the victim is now charged of murder to protect the top managers of this company by the police. Why are you keeping quiet of such transport nobodies? If this is not checked, I will lay bare the facts, for the good of travelers who have suffered for quite a long time in a developing city like Mbarara. Say NO to goons & protect citizens.

While en route from Bukedea, where she had gone to attend a family event, the Kampala Metropolitan Police informed the Rt Hon Speaker about an incident that had occurred near her residence, involving a police officer and a female driver, while she was not at home.

When the copyright fight gained momentum around 2010 several meetings happened at National theatre and Royal Theater of the Lt Kato Lubwama. Artists agreed they shouldnt allow people with CD cutting business to pirate their music esp those who had it as biz in majestic plaza and other places. That time, Some Key artists also came out and said they didnt have a problem having their music pirated. A few moments later we have a copyright law aimed to protect artists. Still not everyone is clapping. Moral of the story: Its hard for Creatives to think in unison and its ok. #NBSAfter5

Seen many opposing the Bill while appearing at the parliamentary committee sitting. Constructive ideas are welcome to help shape a balanced framework that safeguards both national security and economic growth. As both a leader and a businessperson, I support a strong Sovereignty & National Security Bill for UGANDA. Security is the foundation of prosperity no nation can thrive if it cannot protect itself from harmful infiltration. Leading economies have implemented similar frameworks while remaining open to investment, including: the USA PATRIOT Act & CFIUS (US), National Security and Investment Act (UK), FIRB (Australia), Investment Canada Act, Germany’s foreign trade controls, and Japan’s FEFTA. Across Africa, the Middle East & Asia, comparable systems exist, such as South Africa’s Protection of Investment Act, Egypt’s investment screening framework, UAE national security review mechanisms, Saudi Arabia’s FDI regulations, India’s FDI screening rules, Singapore’s investment safeguards, and China’s national security review system. In UGANDA, we must promote economic growth while keeping national security paramount. As a Minister for Young People, I appeal for increased investment to create employment opportunities for our youth without compromising our national security. UGANDA must strike the right balance thus protect critical sectors, ensure transparency, and avoid unnecessary barriers to trade and investment. I encourage legislators / @Parliament_Ug to support this Bill with balanced economic amendments that reflect our democratic values and free market principles. Let us support this Bill with our nation’s development and stability as our highest priority. National security is paramount. A secure nation is a prosperous nation. Sovereignty must be protected. Let all patriots give constructive proposals rather than opposing in totality. Barugahara Balaam Ateenyi MSY&CA / Entrepreneur

Did anyone see @BalaamBarugahar running? 😄 No one. No wonder our elder @mkainerugaba had warned us that some might use rear tacticis. Nevertheless, let us congratulate him for showing up. I was worried that he would fall sick last night, get admitted and be discharged after we ended the run. But he did show up and managed to walk 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️ for charity and hope as the rest of us sprinted 🏃🏃🏃 For @HonKyeyune is a real Gumite 💪💪

Hon @TinkasiimireBa2, you are a political reject whose stupidity and primitivity pushed you to withdraw just a cheap harrier car from your girlfriend. You are just a mafia and a schemer. You don’t have moral authority to speak when MEN are talking.
